James Cook University - Singapore - 01-02-2005, 11:46 PM

hi friends,

Last year made a deep research about James Cook University - Singapore

As its a 1 year course the cost sums to around 4 lacs for studies..living cost will be extra !

But is it worth doing Mba from Jcu - Singapore ?

JCU is a 2 yr old campus in Singapore, though a 35yr old reputed university in Australia(4 campuses). Currently the admission requires either academic performance or 2 yr of Work Ex.
Although i met the Chief Officer myself but something intutively forced to me to further stall my application, i have the offer letter too. Hope this answers your queries.
Anyways if you PGites could reflect light on Singapore as an MBA destination & best options to do MBA from there, it will be highly useful.

ya buddy its a 2 year campus in Singapore.. but in Australia also i dont think its reputed college.

The USP of doing MBA in singapore is after you complete ur Mba from there you get 2 years work permit for Singapore and after that you are eligible For Permanent Resident Card.(PR)

Or after 2 years you can file for Australian Citizenship coz doing MBA from JCU as its an Australian University they consider you for filing your citizen ship in Australia.

Regarding the course structure and curriculum i dont know much about JCU but they are no where in comparison with Nanyang or NSU in Singapore !

And regarding work ex thing i dont find they are very keen coz i got to know few guys are in without work ex who r studying there !

Any ways keep flowin the knowledge !

Ciao,

Well frenz one of my cousins (livin' in Singapore) has suggested me to take a specialised course in my area of interest (Masters), in order to have brighter prospects of a job.
Also does anyone have idea of the FUDAN B-School (Shanghai, China) it has a specialisation in Sports Mktg.
