Itm Business School:gd/pi Experiences For 2008 Batch

HI PUYS,
THIS IS FOR ALL THOSE PPL WHO HAVE GOT A CALL FROM THE ITM B-SCHOOL FOR THE SESSION 2008 AND FOR PPL WHO ARE ALREADY DONE WID THE GD/PI FORMALITIES TO POST THERE RESPECTIVE EXPERIENCES...HOPEFULLY ALL US PUYS VL BENEFIT GREATLY

done with my gd pi at ITM-nm
....
it was as follows........

topic: ppl do not study mba...de study for job....

time: 20 mins

total ppl in gd :12

it was gud...but was ending up wit gr8 disagreements within d grup even tho i bliv evry1 was tryina prove the same point somehow

even at d end of 18-19 minsppl wer tryin to prove der points....while insted de shud ve tried to conclud it...
den each one was askd to conclud it n make der points if de wish....

PI:...........ther wer 2 pis...
1st :3 panel members
panel: educational bakgrnd?
told.(b.e. IT)
panel indrctly askd y mba?
justified well
hobbies....
told few..
den was askd of sum co-curri hobby...lik ryting or reading...writing articles etc...
told.
in turn was askd if i had blog..told
....current affairs...
....my take on a few curent affairs...
...y HR...(s i had shown intrst in hr)
career graph....
justified decline in 12th....by showin d rise in grads....
was gud...

2nd PI: three panelists agn...4th one came in d later half..
i was introduced to odrs as ...she was among the top listed in gd

i got to know it then
basicly askd abt strngths ...weakneses...
justify strngths....
have u been placed/...
said yes...den y not going for job...justified dat....
askd for campus prefrnce...told...
y mba...wat wil u lern in mba....wat qualities...bla bla

askd abt projects in engg....told....askd abt my role in projs...

askd me to leav...
d 4 th panelist sudenly woke up

askd wat is dis tubelyt made up of...(jovially)

made few flukes....he pulled my leg for a while by cros questning........
den we al grinned...

den askd me to leave....

Hi shweta,

Ur experiance was quite interesting...
and congrates, u got selected...

i want to ask u that i got only 67.5%ile in XAT and engg with 65%...
do u think this enough for the call for gd/pi.

how do they put students to mumbai then to chennai ...
how is the overall evaluation done according to u.

pls update us with some more info if u have with u...

Few questions:

1) wat was ur percentile... mine is 96.21 in XAT...I didnt apply yet to ITM but wud be applying as a back up option.

2) In your batch (or on that day) how may got selected for navi mumbai campus

3) wud applying so late hav any effect on my chances of getting selected in mumbai campus...
