Hello Sir

My academic profile is as follows:

Class X: 87.2%
Class XII: 92.4%
BA Economics (H): 66%

Fresher

Sir would you call this is an academically a good profile??...I am unable to rate my graduation result...on one hand because its economics ppl generally tend to score less but then on the other hand ppl have also been able to score in 70's.

One more query is that as i have been very active in my school in extra curricular activies i tend to start my intro in a PI by focussing on my school...does this give a bad impression??

Looking for a early reply...my GDPI is just after 3-4 days!...Thanks in advance.

Hi

I was wondering if anyone knows of a good tuition academy/private tutor for MBA related subjects: Financial Management / Accounts.

I have a computer engineering background with close t 8 years of experience. So these subjects are pretty much greek and latin. Any reference will be of great help!

Cheers

Hello there, well I have lot of questions in my mind regarding PI...I am quite confident about GD as I am next to nobody in current affairs and GK..But the problem is my one year break and arrears in graduation.

10TH-88%
12TH-92%
B.TECH-Biotech-cgpa 6.8

Well I had chicken pox during one of my semester and got the entire semester washed out but the here in anna university they give an U(Fail) even if actually i am absent, and if I say the truth will the panel believe me???So what else can I say???

Another question on the weakness ???Well it would be of great help if you can give some examples of strengths in weakness skins.

Hi tell_me_1,

You sure do have a chance of doing an MBA from a decent B-school. It would be best for you to focus on whatever learnings you've had in your work-ex when preparing for the PI.

The truth of the matter is we have many learnings from any work-ex and it only takes a little bit of introspection to realise the same. For e.g. dealing with diff. ppl., meeting time deadlines, working in a team etc.

All the best...

So I completed my graduation in 2006.
And honestly, I have no relevant work experience.
I have been working in a BPO as technical support for 1 year and 2 months now.
Do I have any chance of making it to the *average* colleges ?
I plan to give MAT and I am quitting work as i need to prepare for the same.
Do i stand any chance if i score good in MAT.
If yes, what questions can I expect in PI. What according to you would be best to tackele the questions regarding the time that I have spent since my graduation.

Hi sweetsour,

Remember, MBA is an amalgamation of various streams and backgrounds and in that sense its like an ocean. So, there are many things which the field of business can gain from the field of science and the logical and scientific temper a science student develops.

Whenever justifying a career choice, always remember to focus on your interest and positives of your choice rather than the negatives of what you didn't chose: so highlight how you find business and MBA interesting...

Regards,

Hi jyoti,

There is no answer which can prevent you from a "second round of attack". Actually, what u need to do is sit down and do some introspection and think over your strengths/ weaknesses/ career goals. Its amazing how less we know ourselves in todays busy world. You can also take inputs from your friends/ parents/ teachers on this. Once you are convinced of your answers you will feel very confident in giving and defending them.

You can definitely cite your desire for professional growth as the reason for quitting.

All the Best!

i have worked for just 7 months for a BPO in a line related to the Airline industry. i have resigned as i did not want to make a career in the Airlines and wanted to study further. Can i state this reason when asked why did i leave my job?

i have started reading the TOI and ET. hope it is sufficient .

Thanks,
Jyoti
