CAT : overall 99.35 percentile...just 1 call ... from A...which m pretty sure wont be able to convert....and why one call....cos of 86 in english... XAT : overall 99.42 percentile...no call...why....74 in english... english always lets me down everywhere...and in all modesty, my spoken english is NOT AT ALL bad....but i guess thats life....hehehe hey fountain, there hasn't been so far established a direct relation btn the number of calls u get and the chances of u getting into a particular b-school. if u get a call to IIMA, that's it. no matter u get a BLACKI or a simple 'A', ur chances of conversion remains that same 😉 come on dear, just give out all u've for IIMA and make it. if u r confy abt ur spoken english skills, y worry ? ur other liguistical skills r gud enuf for iimA, and that's exactly y they gave u a call. so, simply .......... what u did is a serious error, but i dont think xl called out based on ur swot analysis. but ur job profile, if its impressive and countable, cld've been an aiding point for sure. what abt ur %iles, r they really big enuf to make u repent abt ur procrastination ?. however, its obviously toooooooooo late, no qn abt that. try to make things better in other ways .. ermmm... i got 99% last time and didnt fill up any such thingy as nisha_j pointed out...
whn they asked my why, I said i was runnin late for my work, and left out the irrelevant stuff for another day.
whn they asked ki why i didnt fill it up later, i gave my trademark goofy grin and said I forgot.
The main thing is that I converted tht goof up to show them what a responsible person I am [ : fellow XL junta... no public comments plz.. ;-)] wrt my job - told thm that i could not fill tht form up when I had to reach office..
I think the main thingy is to have a good xcuse and convince them of it...
Ofcourse, it depends on the prof whoz doin the interview... but XL has mostly cool profs, so that shouldn't worry you...

This being the last result i had been waiting for & having not made it, it looks like its back to the drawing board now. Have to really think hard where i am wrong. My mom cannot be wrong u know..she says i am "lakhon mein ek". I just have to be "hazaron me ek". Anyways,, had got pretty skewed 95.77..so as expected nothing..altho i must comment on the way xlri people have rejected us guys. I especially like the way they say.."This performance of yours is not a complete indicator of your full potential" .....note the choice of word..."not complete"... which is like you are a dumbass...but we can't say that to your face.
Have to chill for some time before i hit the preps again.
Guys... you people will surely have interviews.. it's not going tio be straight in for youll... so suppress the excitement a lil bit.. u should be getting the interview calls in a few days..

congrats to all call getters..now gear up for the interviews ...a call is definitely not the end of the journey.
as to the loads of questions pointed on section criteria...although nothing can be pointed out exactly...a few pointers are pretty obvious... quants cutoff went high ...gk low..reason might be the no of qs in the paper ..which obviously gave a lesser importance to gk from the start and a higher one to quants.
secondly .(though this has been reiterated many times)...in every b-school ...ur score is definitely not the only thing they look at while giving out calls there is ur profile,acads, workex, previous insti...etc...
also they aim to have a certain mix of students..with say a certain no of freshers workex..engg , arts,,commerce etc. which is definitely reflected in the calls given out ...so u may never know where u missed out ..untill smthng is very obvious....and that is the reason a statement like .."doesnt reflect ur true potential thing" makes sense .... because it definitely doesn't.
and a last word to people who missed out ..guys i myself am a second tmer here and know how it feels ..to miss out inspite of having good scores. so buck up guys...life is like that only.
