Hi! My overall percentile in CAT is 53.41 in SC category. Is there any chance of getting a call from XISS Ranchi in HRM ?
Since So many queries are coming up regarding gd/pi another post comes up:
DO's:
Build up your general knowledge, general awareness, study the important issues wrt to Indian politics, economics and social issues particularly... Practise mock gds with your friends speak confidently, collect useful data during the course of the gd and make up a unique point of your own... Paraphrase them but speak... Be patient.. Be a good listener... Nod your head and try to demonstrate your attentiveness and alertness during the gd.. Be supportive and try to maintain peace order if the mob goes unruly.... RESPECT ONE AND ALL.
DONTS:
don't dominate.... Let everyone speak and don't make it a fish market.. If you don't know about the topic listen and then frame up a good point.. Don't blabber something gibberish.. Do not give imaginary/ unreal statistics ( the moderators aren't stupid)... Maintain good eye contact with your group and not the moderators... Speak sense and do not stray from the given topic.. Control your body language.. Do not show temper.. Have a healthy discussion.... Who knows the guy/girl sitting next to you would turn out to be your best buddy later on in your life... Enjoy 😃
For pi:
Be yourself
Do your homework and frame up and practise the popular questions asked... Sit in front of someone and practise (not mirror.. A live person) this'll improve your confidence..
Do not make up strategies because all strategies fail... Better to tune up your true self..
Give realistic and matured answer and act like a graduate...
ALL THE BEST 😃

any chance of getting in xiss?.... and which is the best dept to study in ? plzz reply puys
Hello,
I scored 95 percentile in XAT besides my previous academics(10th: 83, 12th: 71, B.Tech: 78.5). I completed 3 yrs working in the IT sector this month. Will pursuing HR in XISS provide me relevant placement opportunities considering my profile? I have decided not to spend more than 5lakhs pursuing MBA & Ranchi also happens to be my hometown. Persons currently studying HR in XISS or otherwise, please share your thoughts on the above.
By the way, which of the two scores would stand a greater chance of converting - XAT @ 95 percentile or CAT @ 91 percentile?
CMAT (sept)- 77.38%ile
Category: NC-OBC ( certificate issued on november 2013)
B.Tech- 8.25 CGPA ( 75%)
12th- 78.33%
10th- 75.20%
Work- Exp-- 28 months in operations
Designation: Assistant Manager

For making a GD/PI Call XISS considers only XAT/CAT/CMAT score or they also consider the past academic scores, work experience too..

What are the chances for XISS HRM , which programmes can i apply if not HRM >?
What is the CAT cutoff for HRM??
Can some1 please tell me minimum XAT / CAT score for getting a GD/PI call for marketing specialization..
What is XAT cutoff for grtting GD/PI call?
at what percentile can people comfortably convert XISS HRM ?
i tried to find the hrm fee on the website but was unable to do so . Can someone tell me the course fee ?
I have inferred from multiple sources that companies visiting XISS for placements favor students with maximum work ex, and that respective chunk of experienced people are offered above average placements and rest are meagerly placed. Can anyone put this fact to bed? Also, why are there no XISS alumni on this page?
