I just inquired at the admissions office. The results will be declared on Saturday (28th March, 2009). This mainly because the admin is yet to decide on the exact number of seats (120 or 180), as there are a number of logistical issues that need to be sorted out in a committed manner prior to the beginning of the new academic year, before the seat capacity can be increased.

For us, XIMB fees amount to Rs. 6.25 L for the entire course. You can also chk the fee structure online.

let them take as many days as they want but the seats should be 180. the no of ppl called is 795. last yr with 120 ppl called , people with around 250 rank cleared. now with 180 seats , 350 rank (375 by simple maths, assumimg a lot of things) should clear. that makes the probability of getting in around 50%. that is 2 good for any person. for all those who have not got any convert as yet, ximb can be their best chance.

I have already converted NMIMS. still looking forward to ximb though i was a little apprehensive about it. Bhuwaneshwer is a small town but after seeing 6.75 lac( it think it is more 7.9 lac, need to confirm) as the fee i think it is better than NMIMS.(only my feeling)..

now the wait for Saturday.

Of course, the fees for ur batch are going to be more than that for the 2010 batch! And I dont see what is the significance of Bhubaneswar being a small town vis-a-vis the fees.

both nmims and ximb hav there own benifit. and i was thinking that nmims is in bombay. which is much bigger city compared to bhuwaneshwer .

now at the same time bombay being a expensive city nmims will cost me around 15 lac for my mba and ximb ll cost 11 lac(small town less costlier, less expense). (taking the fees you quoted) and i dont feel that any mba in india is worth 15 lac(except tire A college).

hope you get the logic.

Well, yeah...ur explanation does make sense. However, u may be chuffed to know that it will cost you a lot less than 11 L here in Bhubaneswar. :)
In any case, ATB!!!

i have a little doubt....

wat do we exactly derive out of the line "Result will be announce shortly"

:) 😃

Are there seats reserved for Orissa domiciled students then? 'Cause if not, then there are a lot of them with Xat scores far below the general cutoffs. If 50% of the evaluation is based on Xat scores, how do they overcome that handicap?

may be the call is just a advantage and the orrisa people have to make up for that in the gdpi round.
