Hi Seniors,

Since result dates are approaching fast, expectations as well as tension is souring high too.
One query: Does Ximb also release a Waitlist..i.e. Students who are after merit rank 180 ?
And how many waitlist number usually get cleared (according to previous year results)?

please throw some light on this front!!

Last year something around WL-75 was cleared...Though I won't assume the same thing this year, taking into account various variables.

Hey - i guess XIM had an intake of 120 , did they increase their seats this year?? sorry for bugging with my ignorance - but is this fact concrete:wow:

Last year around WL 90 was the last one to have converted - that means with an increase in 60 seats this time, Waitlisted candidates till 120 may be in with a hope

This sounds great

But mystery unfolding key lies with XIMB admission officials only...any idea about the dates?? just dying for the suspense to be over

Number of seats has remained the same this yr as well...but XIMB releases a list of 180 candidates for final admission anticipating an overlap with XLRI list..

180 merit list + 90 waiting list makes it 270....ppl in top 270 stand a good chance...hope it clarifies

Binay, as has been clarified by me in the previous post, WL 95 was the last waitlisted candidate to convert. So yes, going by that logic, it would be reasonable to assume that with an increase of 60 seats, this number should go up to 120.

It is true that a larger merit list is issued to account for candidates opting for institutes like XL. However, considering that the admin has said that it is 90% sure that it is going to be 180 seats this year, it would be fairly safe to assume that this figure of rank upto which candidates stand a chance should cross 300 easily.

I called on the mobile number as given in the "Admission Results" page.....I enquired about the result date and he said

"May be by this weekend"

Guys usually college authorities take buffer time while telling the dates...So i believe we should get results by Friday ......sorry for speculating but it is an inference

ya,even i was told dat..i called up on another number dat i know(i live in bhubaneswar;))..dey told me the same thing...'xpect the results this week'...but u never know..last time day said on 25th march dat results will be out in April and dey wer out on dat very day...

Well, ur speculation seems to be correct. We think they should be out around 26th March. Of course, give or take a few days (now, mostly give!!!) 😃

Since XLRI results are out and I am waitlisted at 108 :shocked: I will wait for XIMB results. Hoping that they can be out any moment.

Past trend shows that XLRI and XIMB results are declared on the same day...(Last year both the colleges declared their results on 25th March)...now XLRI results are out..so XIMB result can be expected anytime....ATB Puys!!!!!!!!!!!

Hi there...

well yesterday GIM results were announced and i just couldn't make it ... had only two calls this yr.... so i desperately want to get into XIMB.... whenevr the results get declared, i just want my name in the merit list.... i cant afford anything less than that.... 😞 please GOD help me out....

Analyzing past trends show that the results will be declared today after 12 pm... so lets hope for the best.... and all the best to the aspirants... wish me luck tooo as i need it a lot.....

My GIM interview was not that gud .... But XIMB was far better, my GD was nice, i was the third or fourth to enter and concluded the GD too with most of the members agreeing with what i said... was second in interview, and could not answer around 2-3 qstns, mostly qstns were on SDLC, as i am a Software Engineer, but the qstn which i couldn't ans was related to the annual turnover of my company, i dont knw how important that was.... i could tell the percentage of profit, but not the actual figures... they also asked me how was i planning to pay the heavy fees, which i replied that i hav some savings, and the remaining will be taken as loan... lastly i thanked them and came out....

i could not see my XLRI essay with them... nor did they ask anything about it.... i had screwed the essay big time.... so if the essay is not considered, i think i was gud.... otherwise, just dont want to say that thing....

Seniors please tell how was the interview... will i get the priviledge of joining the institute and sharing experiences with you people there?

Well, first of all, a GD/PI experience belongs to the GD/PI Experiences thread, not here. Plus, you need to realise that we cannot take up everyone's situation on a case by case basis. Certain guidelines which may be possibly used by the panels have been mentioned earlier in this thread. You are requested to go through the earlier posts and not spam the thread with incessant posts.
