there is no possibility of u getting a call 😐

Hey,
Ur overall cutoff is just on the margin...
last year the cutoff was 96.2 %
this year the cutoffs are expected to rise..
i am afraid that even though u will clear the sectional cutoffs..but u may not be able to clear the overall cutoff..
But still.. keep ur fingers crossed.. :)

Last year's overall cutoff was 96.2 percentile and this year it is expected to rise..
so your overall percentile is too low for a call..

well..my two cents..
*Read anything u can lay ur hands on..build up ur arguments..
*Then find someone who is free ..and bore them to death with ur arguments and counter arguments on each topic...
*Even Better....find someone who is in the same boat..ie an aspirant or someone who has recd/or is abt to receive a gd-pi call...and bore each other to death..
*Join a gd-pi class..u will find lots of people in the same boat.. the more people u argue with..the more fun
.. in fact they will even teach u different and interesting ways to bore a wide range of people on a wide range of topics..*If all the above ways dont work... then a la the hindi movie hero.. bore ur self by standing in front of the mirror.. in fact this will even give u a good idea abt how goofy we all look while arguing...

It's quite the opposite my dear. Your acads are decent enough, but I feel you may not make the XIMB call due to low scores in QA.
If Carmen Electra coming calling to Bhubaneswar, I'm gonna force my way into XIMB, lol!

According to the disclosure..it says 50% weightage is given to both XAT results and GD/PI.! So def scoring high in XAT will give u some advantage!

Going by the last year's cutoff's..it's a close call, since cutoffs are expected to rise dis year! ATB

First things first, ATB for all your upcoming GD/PI's.
There are no reservations as such for IRMA and XAT applicants as such.
And there is no weightage (as far as I know) given to extra curriculars but yes these can prove that you have a well rounded personality and improve your chances.

Also can you please suggest whether it will be right decision to go for RM.

You are surely going to get a call for XIMB RM. So start preparing for your GD/PI's. As far as the decision of whether to go for it or not, it has to come from your side keeping in mind your own aspirations/inclinations.
Not having a very good knowledge is in no way going to be a deterrent for you to understand, appreciate and make most of this course. In fact, many of my batch mates had not even been to a village before joining this course, but nobody faced any problem and are actually enjoying the course as much as others.
So just be positive and give your best shot at your GD/PI first. You can speak to your mentors at XIMB (once you receive a call, you will be assigned a mentor) to know more about the course and the opportunities it offers.
In nutshell, after a MBA in RM, you can easily be absorbed in the Agribusiness sector, Insurance and Banking sector, rural marketing sector, microfinance sector and many other avenues.

If you have applied for XIMB RM, there's a close call but my understanding says you should be getting a call. For the last word you'll have to wait till the final list is out..........
