As far as the cut offs are concerned, I remember have cleared all of them individually.
Still on verifying the admission results page on the site says I have not been shortlisted.
Also am not been able to verify my result on the IRMA site.

Check with your XAT/XIMB ID. if not then contact admission office.

Got a GD-PI call for PGDM-RM. Cleared the cutoffs through both IRMA (90.68 ) and CAT (93.39). Had missed out on IRMA despite clearing the overall cutoffs (76) because of one sectional cutoff.
Is there any weightage given on the scores in the qualifying examinations (CAT/XAT/IRMA) during final selection? Or is it completely based on your performance during the GD-PI round?

PGDM-RM certainly does not mean that you need to work in rural areas only. Most of our alumni is working in urban areas only though their project might be focused on rural areas. As a rural manager you have ample opportunities in rural marketing, rural finance, development as well as in entrepreneurship. For more insights into rural marketing and the opportunities in rural areas you can read 'Fortune at the bottom of the pyramid' by C.K.Prahalad.

Thanks for opening a new thread separately for RM.
Pls let us know about the fieldwork that would be there as part of the curriculum of RM.In case of IRMA, this is around 40-45 percent.
Also, if one could share last year's GD/PI process specifically for RM that would be very helpful.
In terms of placement, would there be any consulting agencies ( catering specifically to RM).How is the job scenario due to the recent recession this year.

Freshers will be asked a bit on academics and how one can relate your studies to Rural Management.
GD topics - Current awareness with more catering on rural areas.Pratogyita Darpan is a good book to read, nice articles in TOI ( Editorial Section) and Hindu too.

Please note that the GD Topics can be varied and diversified ranging from the field of Agriculture to Indian Economy and Poverty Eradication to Development Sector.
Please go through the Ministry of Rural Development Website to have an idea about the current Govt Schemes going on.
And also do not miss out on books like "Fortune at the bottom of the pyramid","Everybody loves a good Drought"," I have a dream".

I am puzzled because I cleared the sectional cut - offs , total cut-offs thru CAT for PGDM- RM, even then the results-page shows that I am Not shortlisted.......please tell what top do... I will call the admissions office 2mrw. But any more pointers ?
I had the same issue initially...Make sure u type in the exact XIMB ID including the letters XIMB and the no following it..which u must have received in your Payment Invoice...any aberration would give out the Msg as not qualified....
