Dear Candidate,

You will be happy to learn that the honourable High Court of Orissa has given us the approval to admit students to our PGDM (HRM) program. You may see the admission bulletin already given to you for details regarding program focus, fees and other information.

In view of your performance in XAT we are inviting you to apply for participation in the GD& PI process for admission to the PGDM (HRM) program. We will be holding the GD & PI process between the last week of May and the first week of June in the cities: Bhubaneswar, Bangalore, Delhi and Mumbai. In case you are interested in the PGDM (HRM) program and would like to participate in the admission process, then please reply to us latest by 5:00 pm of 13th May 2011 mentioning your preferred city for attending the interview along with your XAT ID.

In case we do not hear from you by then we will assume that you are not interested in the PGDM (HRM) program and would not consider your application any further.

Considering this a new course i'm confused whether to go for it or not. Would like to have any extra information from you guys if you have any. 😃

It again depends on your interest. I'm definitely interested in HRM and for me its a good career option.
But the thing is... this is a new course from XIMB and i donot know what to expect from them at the end of this course.. we will be the first batch in case we get selected here..

Hei Anuradha i got the same mail n even i am confused what to do...Moreover am from Guwahati and have to make Travel arrangements all of a sudden now to d GD PI centers this isnt helping the cause...!!

So went thru d XIM booklet but it doesnt state d HR companies recruiting there and the average package....!!!
A lot is still to be known...hoping oder ppl join in..!!

i have a few questions...
1) will d placements of PGDM nd HRM be held at d same time or would dere be some biasness....
2) wat is d peer group dat we can except dere in case i opt for it...i have been offered a seat cause f m waitlisted for pgdm...
3) wat can be expected out of placements (though i knw its almost impossible to comment on dis but still something would help)

Since its an XIMB initiative we can be assured of the QUALITY...!!
I bet they have well planned Soughted out the Things..
But d Industry Reaction to it cannot be Predicted..moreover no one knows if whether d placements of PGDM nd HRM be held at d same time..only d collg authorities can throw some light on that...!!

1. Was HRM not the specialization available previously in XIMB?
2. Is there any remote chance of getting PGDM by attending this interview?

i too have above 80 percentile in xat....and applied for ximb pgdm course but rejected in gd-pi process.....but i havent received any such mail...can u puys specify the time when u received this

1 yes, this is a new program
2 i dont think theres a possiblity of change as there is huge diffrnce between the cut offs of the 2 programs ....

You can go ahead and apply for the course even if you have not received any mail

yes, its a new program, for curriculum, fees, course goal etc.. check the link , in the post no. 6 on previous page
as per the placements, any info wont b available
but i would like to believe ximb reputation, would be of great help..and ximb wont compromise on quality
as hrm seats are offered to few of the waitlisted candidates of pgdm prog.

i had a score lower then the cut off. .. . . 90.14
so i think they have sent to many people considering the no of people
who have already got a good college and have paid initial payment...

me too got the call today..92.6 XAT.... but i m nt much interestd in HR..i have an admission offer for a 14 month SPJAIN PGCIM prog..... but will attend the GDPI maybe...

i have got the mail as well..dont know what to make of it..no past record to go by..though i guess there is no harm in attending the GDPI process..we would still have our previous colleges secured in hand..

Traditinally HR is one of the forte of XIMB....seen companies like Tata HRDP (its some thing like TAS for HR folks) recruting from XIMB(as far as i know the other 2 colleges where tata HRDP goes is TISS and XL)...

so faculty wise, one need not worry....and also it applies to placements

But one concern, which seniors might answer is that...Will there be specialisation (for HR)in general PGDM during second year???

and intake for this program??
