If it is HR, u r interested in u stay put at SCMHRD as it enjoys a better brand equity for HR.
Though XIMB is no less in the quality of education it offers and placements (highest HR salary offered was 7.5 lakhs), for HR stay in SCMHRD. But XIM scores anyday in other streams (mktg,fin,sys,ops) over SCMHRD. and yeah there is that military discipline u hv to put up with in SCMHRD. XIM is pretty cool in that respect. i'd stick my neck out and say, we r offered most freedom among the indian b-schools.

i need some i/p regarding this : my WL no is 47 ... i have gone thru the earlier mails in this thread and also spoke to the admn office .. they said that i had abt 80% chance ... i mean is this stuff real 
: .. 47wl implies a WL actual of 60+47 =107 considering that they have given 180calls instead of the conventional 120 ... can so many students opt out (107 is practically replacing the complete batch)

1) i am in a soup now. i have got through iitd. now please someone enlighten me as to what i should join- xim or iitd? (heard the avg at iitd was 5.88 lacs. thatz what they said there. but is it true?) :
2) here comes the stupidest query of the millenium (how optimistic can peeps like me get!!!)
if the avg salary at xim was 4.6 l despite 80 reservation candidates, then can i presume that the avg sal of the 40 non-orissaites will be definitely much higher than the reserved guys considering they wont do too well ( no offence meant) and that i can expect 6 lacs?

Hey i got both , the snail mail as well as the e-mail, asking me to submit part of the fee before 16th of April, and it is clearly mentioned there that the last time round, Waitlist was cleared upto 79 ! I hope that rests many doubts abt the WL status. In case, they dont have seats left , they will refund ur entire money, now thats 😃 , ain't it? hope that helps.

as for IITD and XIMB....
i wud say XIMB is between IIT-B and IIT-D...........
and for their was one message talkin about orissa reservations..........well those people whom 1 mite think r from reservations also perform damnm well......
and mayb better dan us also........wich they do.....
so dont come here thinkin they r inferior.........
neways.........i have no clue about IIT-Del salary........

hey ximbians 2004-06,
congrats 2 all those who have made it.n for people who r thinkin about it think long n hard about other institues...........xim is one place u dont wanna miss.
my personal exp i left iitd.k,nmims.imt last year and am very happy for the choice i made.what all of u can do is,since 99.9% of u shall b doin mba only once in ur life so u can go down to these institutes n get the first hand info from students,faculty etc.its a matter of spending a few thousands but u shall have the satisfaction of having made the rite choice.
ya about iit d all the companies u came to campus were offering around 5 lacs.god alone knows what measure of central tendency have they used to come out witha figure of 5.88 lacs!!!!!!
my preference list:1.iit bom 2.ximb 3.nmims.4iit d 5.iit kgp 6.imt
