hi vyjanthi,

ur first doubt has been answered in post # 3 of this thread....but still i'm pasting the same thing for u...

cut-offs:

there are no specific cut-offs...the calls are profiled based..so it depends..

essays:

for more details on XAT essays, visit this thread...u wud find loads of info here:

http://www.pagalguy.com/forum/other-...ting-zone.html (XAT - Essay Writing Zone)

difficulty:

this year's XAT paper was difficult than CAT.. this is what most people feel..but its more a matter of perception...no need to worry abt the difficulty level, coz what matters is the relative position...

G.K.:

XAT had scrapped GK Section last year and introduced a DI/Logic Section...so chances are highly likely that they would not revert to the old patter...in any case, its always good to go through the newspapers regularly coz they would be helpful in your GD/PIs...
Thanks vits,

For such a speedy reply ..

XAT quants section......??????????:yell:what xtraa is required for it....especially for ppl who r bad in quants:oops:.....

"Get a demand draft for Rs.1000/- in favour of "Xavier Institute of Management", and drawn on State Bank of India, Fortune Towers Branch (Code: 4414), Bhubaneswar or any other bank at Bhubaneswar."

Can some one please clarify the above statement for me.It says the DD should be in favor of XIM but then what does drawn on mean?Does it mean the DD should only be taken from a bank in bhubaneswar and not in any other city?

I see you have a long way to go in life, but never mind (No hard feelings) . It's best to clear your doubts. "Drawn on" means that the draft has to be made payable in this case-- In a bank based in Bhubaneswar, it can be SBI or any other bank which has a branch in that city, so when you go to the bank to get the draft made, just ask if they have a branch in Bhubaneswar (Drafts are cleared only in the same bank, branch can be located anywhere in India). All the best.
