Hi Guys, I am writing this for all those who are confused about XL HRM. I see people considering HR as a course which don't have scope, you get stuck in HR and no growth in career in terms of scope or salary. This is all because most of us haven't seen HR working and consider HR's wile limited to organising birthdays and parties in office. I agree, yes this is a part of HRs job but not their role in itself. Plus how many have actually seen HRs from XL or TISS doing such things only. XL dominates the HR function in India. And competition only from TISS. Other schools like MDI, SIBM and SCMHRD have HR course but they are nowhere close to the above mentioned two schools. Plus people keep on asking about the possibility of HR students getting into non-HR roles. I want to clear this now. See tech firms like Microsoft open same role for both BM and HR. Consulting firms don't differentiate between HR or BM. And there is an increasing trend of HR students getting into core BM roles like operations during the final placements. Some General Management firms also allow HR students to apply for Gen Man roles. So take your decision wisely. XL brand takes you places. Lastly, I am not an HR student. Came here to speak the truth.

Hey guys, I really need some advices and opinions right now. I didn't convert XLRI BM (which I really really wanted to; can't stress enough). But, I have converted SP Jain. My profile - 10 / 12 / Grad - 95 / 95.2 / 72.62 Work Ex - Around 10 months in Consulting Now the dilemma is - Whether I should go with SP Jain or try again this year? I am very confident and motivated to study, give my 100% this time, BUT, it comes with a lot of complications (losing a year, unpredictable results, pressure of getting a college comparable to SP, etc.). I am looking forward to any kind of genuine advice, considering different parameters (Brand, placements, international recognition, etc). You guys here are all very intellectual and wise. Please help a fellow out, it's a big decision for me. Foreign education - not keen on settling abroad. Any other way works. Not adding a poll here.
