Vouchers are out from today. Many of us would have thought, Given 27-day testing window, when is it best to take the exam. depends on individual convenience, preparation level or may be random. last to register have no choice, but the early ones to register need to see whether to get out of tension early or brush up with some seriousness during the extra time and analyse others for first few days. would you dare to face it on the first day, wait half time or take it at the end ? interested in knowing the statistics of puys distribution in this period.
when are you taking CAT 2012 ? (select slot and day)
poll created. select day and slot.

@[586999:PuYGuY] I think you missed out there are 31 days in oct ;)
Any way I don't think day will matter , as long as you give your best :)
planning to write on Nov 6 this time

Are these dates not available for CAT or have the early birds filled them up?
(Did they sleep and poop at Axis bank? )
Nov 1 is a holiday in most of the sates.
Oct 12 i guess there is no CAT.. that's for them to fix any issues which they see on Day 1.
I guess Oct 23, 24 is Dusherra and Oct 27 is Id.
Not sure of Oct 17.
For puys from isce/isc board ..are they filling up their aggregate marks or best 5 n best 4 marks???????
Strategy is simple. Choose the day which suits you the best.

@[396968:Visweswarareddy]-yes i checked it out with the cat registration guide....this time it is explicitly mentioned that we need to consider all subjects n not just best 5 or best 4 ones..anyways thanks..:)
exact two months to go for cat 2012 from today give ur best in your preparations good luck guys
What is the criteria for determining whether a question is difficult or easy : Does it depend on the number of candidates who got that particular Q right or wrong on that particular day OR do CAT authorities inherently designate a Q's difficulty level ??
The reason i ask this is because whatever i have read about normalization and scaling seems to imply to me that one can lose a lot of marks for getting an easy Q wrong and gain a handful of marks for getting a difficult one right . And if the former of the above choices is true then there is a glaring flaw in the system . The reason being that the average ability of candidates on any particular day cannot be equivalent to other days throughout the period . Hence it is disadvantageous to students who give the exam on a date when a lot of good candidates appear .
