I became a graduate last year. I wish to study further but I am unsure as to what to choose, i.e. MBA or Masters. I am interested in Business and finance. In the current market situation, which degree has more value? Whichever course I choose, I will not be doing it from India. Can anyone suggest me good B schools that offer MBA and masters and also important details about those schools. I am slightly in favor of MBA as my father is keen on me getting and MBA degree.

Hello, I am a current Global MBA student at ESSEC Business School and I can totally recommend you the school. Everyone knows about the prestige of ESSEC in France and Europe. The schools is very well-known by its finance program too.

One year ago, I was your same position doing research of European Business Schools. In my personal opinion ESSEC is one of the most international MBA and the one that have a great value for money. This year we will spend more than one month in Singapore, then I will visit Dubai, Germany, South Africa and another emerging, where we will do a consulting project. As you can see the Global MBA is really €œGlobal €?. The batch small size (less than 40) and diversity (around 14 nationalities) really adds an additional value, since you learn more from your classmates everyday in the team work.

You should consider your network after your MBA around the world, and ESSEC has one of the biggest Alumni networks in the Europe (over 42,000) who are helpful. They help you if you contact them. The quality of faculty is another important asset of the program, we have had professors from Harvard, Insead, Kellog, etc. and from a range of different nationalities (Germany, Belgium, Turkey, India, Chile, France, Italy, Spain, etc.)

Finally, you should evaluate the career services of the MBA. In ESSEC the career services are quite personalized and start to work with you since the first week of the program. The career development is very dynamic; we have different kind of career activities every week such as building our elevator-pitch, mentoring program with a senior professionals in the industry of your interest, preparation of our CV and cover letters, video CV, company treks in Paris, career fairs, etc.
