i have passed out from welingkar core 2011-13 batch.
yes yes the first question that comes to your mind is how are the placements!! i would say they totally depend on the candidates. the college tries its best to get in a lot of companies for placement process. you will get a lot of opportunities to crack a job interview. the placement are not 100%. non of the mba colleges except tier 1 have 100% placements. during my time the highest salary was 30 lakhs in international and 11 lakhs in domestic. the lowest was around 4.
i did not get a job but managed to get a decent 7pa job from outside.
the placements of BD, PGDM, Ebiz and someother courses happen at the same time. everyone can apply in any company the like if they fit in the criteria.
so they question does not arise as to how are the placements for bd or core or ebiz.
coming to the quality of education.they college has ties up with harvard business review for their case studies. so the students are harvard and welingkars kind of have the same case studies. it totally depends on how well you crack them!!
some of the professors are just amazing!!! they knowledge they have is as good as a isb or lbs prof!!.
the college is state of the art if you all have visited the bombay campus.
one imp reminder for every one who is going to do finance.
PLEASE DO A FRM or CFA with your mba. it will give you the edge in the market!!
i would only say the management education that i have got form this college has helped me a lot in my job. take it seriously and you can do wonders with your career.

In the online application form, there is a mandatory column for surname. I use my first name everywhere including all of my documents. When i tried to put a full stop(.) there as other forms have that facility, it displayed a message "only alphabets allowed". So wat should i fill in that column?
