Hi Puys!!
I couldn't find any active threads on CEIBS 2011 applicants.
So this is an attempt to bring together ideas from all CEIBS aspirants. Please discuss your views regarding the application process as the Round 1 is closing today and your opinions about the school itself.
To begin with , here is my profile and views -
GMAT - 700,6 ; TOEFL - 116 (Of no use in Asian Schools)
CGPA - 8.11
Work-Ex : 4 years in Aug'11 (Tata Motors)
EC - Ok
CEIBS is one of the highly rated Asian schools. I have just gone by the FT ratings while applying to this school.I am anyways trying to stay back in Asia and thus I am applying in three Asian schools(NUS and NTU apart from this).
Enjoy and post replies....

Hi shiladitya ..
I have also applied in R1 in CEIBS .. I have got an I/V call from them for 25th-Nov ..
Somehow, i am unable to find any threads related to CEIBS-2011 .. 😞
HI smokinskull,
Congos! This is good news. When did you submit your application? I received a receipt acknowledgement yesterday only and they have mentioned that the official university transcripts are pending. I don't know how to submit the official ones as I am staying in Gujarat whereas my University is in Kolkata. Difficult thing!
How are you preparing for the interview?
Cheers.

Hey smokinskull, I too got a i/v call today. Mine is on 30th Nov, do post your i/v experience.
Btw, I spoke to one of the admissions directors, Ivy Wang yesterday on GMATCH. She was of real help providing good insights into the programs and specialisations. However, Chinese speaking will become an imperative from her point of view.....any ways bol for your i/v

Done with my interview!! It was not a mindblowing one as usual.
There were two people on the other side - 1. Lorna Doucet and 2. A Chinese Guy.
The questions were pretty straight forward -
1. What is your biggest achievement? Why do you consider it so?
2. What is your short term career goal? Why? How does CEIBS help you in achieving this?
3. What is your stlye of leadership? State a few points of strengths and a few weakness from your subordinate's perspective.
4. The rest of the questions were regarding my present organisation.
(Total 40 mins. my skype went kaput, so they switched on to the telephonic mode)
It went good that's all I can say for now. But, the Chinese guy mentioned that Mandarin is very important for local jobs.
Keeping my fingers crossed.........
Cheers and best of luck to others!!
Sorry for replying so late .. my apologies
glad to know your I/V went off well .. mine was alos on similar lines .. did not go smashing as i had wanted it to .. the webcam was giving me many problems .. so i had to sit in a, well .. very odd position
My I/V was taken by Lydia Price and some chinese prof. All in all it took me 25 mintues, much lesser than your 40 minutes
Now waiting for the results .. i was told that the results would be out by 16th Dec ..
All the best to you .. any other people who gave their interviews ???

Hi,
I was interviewed by Lydia and Angela on the 2nd Dec, it lasted about 40 mins, and were pretty general questions, but focussed a lot on my current organization. I was also told that the results would be out on/by 16th Dec. Lets hope for the best!
hmmm .. i definitely seem the odd one out .. 25 minutes for my I/V . . But then there was a third guy on the panel also who answered a question i asked .. all in all I/V was ok and yeah they did ask only general questions ..

Well mine was 40 mins because of 10 mins of discussion over mandarin n prospects in china and internships(i had asked a few things) and 2-3 mins of skype adjustments 😁 , so it comes down to around the same time of 25 mins 😃
Did anyone hear from the ADCOM?
No dude,
no news from them 😞
