Guys.. any idea what the cover letter shud be covering:banghead:

I've only heard of cover letters for job interviews..

Its a sales pitch. Try to talk about matters not covered in the other 2 essays....considering that you only have 1 page each for the other two, you might have enough substance to cover here.
Also take a look for MIT cover letters...you can get some hints there.

Hi Guys,

Sorry for joining the thread late,..I was unable to locate it earlier :(

I applied to Tippie in R1..and have finished my Interview with Jodi last Friday..

She said they will respond back to me in a week..

I wanted U guys to know the kind of questions she asked..Very unconventional..was different from the rest of the interviews that I've given..

Some of the questions are..

1. starting from ur undergrad..tell me everything u've done till date
2. two ppl that have inspired u and y.. :-o
3. Tell me something abt u that I cannot find out from ur resume
4. Ethical dilemma..:cheerio:
5. Tell abt a time wen u made a mistake at work and admitted it
6. A team experience wen a teram mate was not pulling his weight
7. What motivates u :shock:
8. Any questions for me.. :cheerio:

The interview lasted for abt 35 mins..

Eagerly awaiting results..

Had my interview yesterday. pretty much the same questions as posted above. Interview went on for 45 minutes..

GMAT 740 (q 50 v 40 5.0) 2+ work ex
1.5 with ernst and young
remaining family business

Tippie is a good school for Finance. Its even rated highly by FT
FT.com / Business Education - Top schools by subject

The disadvantage Tippie has is its Location - Middle of Nowhere. And Iowa is not exactly a happening place. Hope this helps.

No info on scholarships though. my GMAT is only 670.. so guess, i would not get any..
3 yrs work ex in SCM/IT field by May. TOEFL 115
Acads - very good
Extra curriculars - very good.

When did u guys submit your application? I also applied in R1 but I'm yet to hear from them. I applied on the last day.

3.5 years in IT.
