@mods Please close the thread. thanks.

That thread's actually super-old. Keeping this open because this is going to change the way a lot of Indians look at UK for education.

Is there any detailed info on this?

I thought the UK would do something like this as soon as recession set in.
They clearly dont want more Asians. There are many muslims there (bradistan for eg) and Cameron has said that he wants to push the immigration levels to that of 1990's.
Studies from Oxbridge have shown that if current levels of immigration continue the White people(natives) would become a minority(google 'white flight').Whites are 89% of the population , and by 2050 they would be 58%.

Its a socio-cultural issue not discrimination and has nothing to do with MBA

Personally ive already ruled out the UK as a higher education destination , long ago actually, and ive been vindicated

You can find more detail here:

UK Border Agency | Government sets out proposals for major reform of the student visa system

It is a consultation process and no decision has been made as yet, but yes the general mood in UK is very much against immigrant.

Today the news about UK student visa overhaul has come.
Probably the most important news for Indian MBA aspirants is the end of Tier 1 Post study work visa.
I have put this post to get the views of Pagalguy members. This would really help me and fellow aspirants.

Would this really lead to end of road for us for an UK MBA?
