TC
I have heard that UK bschools don't get you placed after the course like indian B-schools...could you explain what is the scenario out thr.
barun!
i ve been reading on the UK MBA websites that they put a lot of emphasis on work experience. I got both my masters and bachelors degree in the US, and i will have 3 yrs experience (1.5 as a manager) by Fall 2008 (all work experience after MS). Will this suffice as far as work experience is concerned?
What would be considered a good average GMAT score for a UK MBA?
thanks..

Hello everybody,
The business schools in UK mostly prefer people who have at least 3 years of exp. About the GMAT score it varies between different schools. But generally a score close to 700 is a very good one. If you have a very good profile schools even accpet low GMAT scores..
Most of you are concerned about jobs, well unlike Indian B-Schools, in UK you have to make a lot of effort from your own side. The school will help you networking and they will also invite companies for career fares, but it is entirely left to the individual how they utilize these opportunities.
Unlike popular belief the economy in UK is not bad, there are jobs and in every sector, it is how well you snatch them.

Cranfield is a fantastic school to pursue a MBA. It is not well recognized well in India, because of the fact that the school has not made much of an effort to market itself in India. Cranfield is ranked 11th in world by the Economist.
Cranfield has a very good Industrail reputation and I believe that is what matters. also the batch strength is small which is very good for interactive learning..

Barun,
Can you please let me know the expense to carry the MBA programme there in UK along with the familly (wife and a kid). Is there any way to get loan/financial aid to complete the course.

Hi all,
join me in the party.
I am trying to submit my oxford app by in the first round. other UK- b schools i am applying are cambridge and manchester...
You may share your exp in applying and beyond...

Shivanand.
HSBC offers loans for students applying to LBS, Cambridge and Cranfield, therefore you can get assistance from them. The cost living may vary from place to place. It is cheap at Cranfield since it is far away from the city. So for me it is around 600 per month with my partner. With a kid you can estimate it to be around 800. This figures are indicative numbers again and may drastically vary.
