Hey Raashi...m sorry for this delayed reply...hope it will be of some help now.....i am a student of UIAMS (University Institute of Applied Management Sciences, Panjab Univ. Chd). Ours is the pilot batch....the institute has 5 courses...

M.B.A. (Retail Management), M.B.A. (Banking and Insurance Management), M.B.A. (Telecommunication and IT), M.B.A. (Infrastructural Management) , M.B.A. (Pharmaceutical Management), M.B.A. (Hospital Administration)

The admission is thru an exam..OCET.. conducted by PU itself.....

Well UIAMS is an Institute that was started last year by PU ..... the institute offers sectoral MBA only (Retail, banking, hospital n pharma and Telecom n IT)

Well about its MBA programme i would say its at par with any other institute...though there were some initial teething problems 4 us..since we were the pilot batch. For you i m sure things will be in place and u will have loads of helpful seniors and staff to guide u.
N i would say PU degree is a reason enough to enroll so MBA from here is a good option...n its any day better then any MAT institute. About the placement scene i would say that since i m in the pilot batch n the 1st placements will commence with our batch...so to make a guess is a tough one...but i m sure the best ppl will be able to find their place for sure...it might be a problem for below avg. students....which is the case for all institutes.

one more thing would like to ask as in eligibilities its written physics in graduation....if one has studied physics in grad as subsidary subject..as that subject will not be shown in degree but in marksheet its given.....so in that case r we eligible for that mba (like mba it eligibilities)...plz reply fast as last date aproaching..

Hi Rahul,

Congrats for clearing the written test!! About the GD/PI...dont worry it will be easy... when i went thru mine it was very basic...about impact of television...but our juniors got abstract topics...so i would suggest that you go thru the recent news and brush upon ur verbal skills.

The PI was also very general....actually its you who guide the interview....more or less u will be asked only those questions which you touch in your introduction or are there in your resume. So dont worry and give it your best shot!
