I applied for the first round of admissions @ Anderson, UCLA. No update yet from the Ad-com. Did any of you guys here from the ad-com about the status of the application, interview etc.

Hi All,

I am planning to apply for UCLA R2. I had a question about their requirement for TOEFL.

While other colleges waive off the examination for those having studied in English-medium Universities, UCLA explicitly mentions that candidates from India need to appear for the exam. How strict is this criteria for those who have studied all-through in English-medium (schooling, under-graduation, and post-graduation)?

whats the bit about 4 yrs workex by Aug2008 ?
I am applying to UCLA R2 but I will have only 3 yrs of workex by then. Does that mean that I am not eligible ?

Its just a coincidence...both of us having 4 yrs exp... there is no rule as such 😃 the website (andersons) clearly mentions the significance of exp in a complete app.

Total Work-ex (as of Aug 200 - 3 years
Job -Software Engineer
Community service - practically nil
Extra-cirriculars - nothing mind blowing. Barely worth a mention.
Academics - Good

Still haven't heard anything from them yet.

Well, it looks like Anderson started dishing out interview invites on 30th Nov. Any one get lucky? Am not feeling too optimistic. Especially with the notification date only a month away!

Me too planning for R2. Couldn't find anyone else who'd got calls.

Academics - Great /NIT Surathkal/4th top in my class.
Extracurriculars - Excellent all throughout - from college to work place.
Community Service - Good
