Best of Luck to everyone...
Hello Folks...!I have qualified for the Globalization and Labour course. It would be of great help if someone could throw some light as to how does one go about preparing for the PI(As per my knowledge there is no G.D for this particular course..correct me if I'm wrong).
Some seniors intervention and expeiences could really help us out. Wanted to know the backgrounds of the students who have qualified too?How many seats are in there for this particular course....?I have so many queries and concerns..I hope they all would be answered in this forum.
Cheers!
Ain't no mountain high enough:)
Hi puys,I m in for Dev Studies too..Lets join hands and prepare together..
Hey Puys Just now checked out the DAF. There is a Biological Sketch up!! What is that now?? There is a separate question regarding the SOP..But what is Biological sketch??? It sounds very absurd

Hello Folks..
Got this prior thread with some inputs of what exactly is expected in a biological sketch...
http://www.pagalguy.com/discussions/tiss-25001898
Please advise how we should go about this!!Any tips and tricks for cracking the GD/PI...
Do we have any google mentorship groups too for this?
Cheers!!
Ain't no mountain high enough!!
However, Reservations need to be factored - 22.5(SC+ST) and 27(OBC) which is a total of 49.5 %. So basically the General Category can slug it out for half the seats.
I come from a 'tired of Tech.' background...

Also, I found some old threads with previous GD-PI experiences - Hope it gives a better idea -

P.S. - The DAF asks for a BIOGRAPHICAL SKETCH not a biological sketch...
Sorry Folks..the biographical sketch:)!!!...As if anyone was interested in our biological sketch;)!!..
I came to know that there last time for the GL course there were no GD...only a PI ..I guess it would be the same this year too...!!Yaa the general students will have to slog it out....
Could someone enlighten me??
Trouble is all there is only a short period of time and one chance to create a favorable impression....
GD only for SW, Counselling and HRM-LR Courses...Rest all have only a PI directly.

Firstly I must say you have a very unusual Username..Its funny..

I was not sure about whether I had only PI or GD also,SO thanks for clarifying that.. BTW I have been qualified for Elementary Education..
I had applied for Media and culture studies and EE ,got rejected in MCS..
I am not sure whether i would even attend the Interview...
I am a Engineer and i will have to switch fields completely, though even MBA is switching fields!!!
Was Interested in Teaching so had applied for EE,Dint have any hopes of getting through..Lets see what happens..now...What would you do if you where in my posititon??
An MBA is considered as usually considered by many as a supplement to your existing core - You can always tell the panel (and yourself) - I want business knowledge to run my Electronics or IT firm. So its not really a switch.
But trust me - TISS is switch !!!
Im a BTech ECE - working with an IT MNC - But am kind of tired of Tech. and the blah. Have got through some of the exams this season but dont have too much fire for them. My interest in these TISS courses is personal.
From a career perspective - Im not too sure how it will pan out (No placements guaranteed)... But then Im a Pagal guy !!!

P.S. - The Name is a spin on Popeye's girlfriend...
