Hello everybody, I am a first year student at Tippie School of Management. I am working with the admissions and recruitment team as a part of my GA. I will be available on PagalGuy to answer any questions regarding Tippie or about the admiss…
Hello everybody,
To start with, I would like you to know about the one-one Skype sessions conducted by Tippie. I think it's a good way to know more about the program and also to let the admissions team know more about you. You can find more details here:
Another update: Take notice of this event and try to take advantage of it:
I will be applying to Tippie for Fall 2014 Admissions. Can you please give me some information regarding Skype interviews such as nature of questions asked, duration, etc. ? Can you also tell what might happen if the internet speed is not good enough leading to problems in video and speech transmission? Can it affect the admission prospects? Actually I am posted in a very remote city where frequent internet problems occur. Also, is it necessary to dress formally for the interview? I have no idea regarding the Skype interviews and it will be highly beneficial for me if you please share the nitty gritty of the entire process

Hello @Tippie_MBA , I am extremely pleased to inform you that I have been admitted to Tippie with scholarship($8106) and a GA. Feeling a lot relieved now!! However, considering the fact that the maximum scholarship available is $10406, can I ask the adcom (Jodi Schafer) to consider me for the full scholarship? Actually, I am the sole earning member of my family and my MBA will leave my family without any source of income. They have to depend entirely on the family savings. My parents are also very aged (father aged 71 and mother aged 58). A $2300 savings on tuition fee per year will amount to approximately INR 3 lakhs over a 2-year period, which is a considerable sum of money. Considering the financial situation I am in, will it be possible to negotiate for full scholarship? Please give your valuable advice regarding this matter. Any help will be greatly appreciated......
Hi @Tippie_MBA ,
Thanks for all your help. By the way, I had sent an e-mail to Jodi Schafer explaining my financial situation and my request was granted!! Now, I have a full-tuition waiver which is really amazing!! A ton of thanks for advising me to mail her. Without your help, I wouldn't have been able to muster courage to mail her........
Hey guys,
I hope you are having a good time with the application process. There's one thing I thought I'd let you know. This is with respect to the TOEFL score requirements. There's an update in policy, and it says: "
TOEFL or IELTS scores are required of all non-U.S. applicants EXCEPT those who were educated solely in English for their undergraduate or prior graduate degree. " So, if you had your under-grad in English, you don't need your TOEFL scores to apply anymore.
Let me know if you have any questions and good luck.
Just an FYI: For those who have been admitted, the deposit to be paid this year is $750.
Update: For those of you who have signed up for the "Request info" page on Tippie's website (here:
HI @Tippie_MBA I have been admitted to the Tippie MBA program for the Class of 2016 in the One and Done Event. The deadline to return my reservation form is 29th of Nov and since I am also waiting for a few other results to make my decision, can I mail the admissions committee asking for an extension?
Admitted to Tippie with full tuition and GA 😃 😃 😃
Would someone be interested in a mock interview with me on skype? It would basically help us get in the groove...also to resolve any unexpected technical glitches that might occur in real interview beforehand...
