Hi Puys,

As we near the end of another rocking season, I feel its time to reflect on all that
we did this season. The new friends we made. The passions we shared.
The discussions/fights we had. The support that was lended to someone who was down.
The criticism of someone not doing well etc etc..

In the process we got to know so many fellow puys quite well.

Let this be a common repository for all our feelings.. the praises, the brickbats
anything we want to write about each other.

Request puys to write honest testimonials here.

~Nitin

PS: There are quite a few such posts around but pretty scattered. Let this be a one common platform.

Do let me know if it sounds good.

Ummm... Sounds good, provided everyone takes it in the right spirit. I am enthusistic

btw, congrats to Nitin for writing such a long post without many grammartical errors ( This is the beginning of his testi from my side)..

Anirban

I'd love to write loads of testimonials to many rocking puys but the fear of missing out some valuable contributors makes me desist. I've been (hyper)active for only a comparatively short duration on this great community, but I've gained a lot. I have got to hear some wonderful opinions, made some good friends, and got lots of valuable information.

In particular, I'd like to thank Tanveer sir for introducing me to this community.

I wish everyone luck and happiness, and fulfillment of all their dreams!

Rock on!!

i've been following pg long before i started posting.

my favourite thread- football club!

some of the puys with whom i had the honour of interacting are

coolroy ,royonmoon ,fire_kris, sumitrocks , egonomist ,diablorulez, swagatsinha , amit, prem_ravi, polpot ,anvesh23 ,ver 2.0 , joker , ande ka funda , andy4u.

listing only a select few. (the list can go on and on).

there have been many others who've made this place special. special in their own unique way. i've got nothing but respect for all those with whom i've interacted over the months.

here i am , writing a testimonial for 2 puys i've known for sometime now.

coolroy
(soumitra = football punter = hargo = god)

He doesnt require my testimonial for illustrating what he possesses , and its not sufficient too!!

known him for sometime now.

one great guy (he's the IBM dude after all) .a devil to the core. my sms source whenever i miss any match. (blame the interviews for that). had the honour of meeting him when he came down for TAPMI.

His simplicity is something which u will notice at first (i still cant figure out whether he is more "intelligent" or more "decent"!!)

a guy with absolutely no airs about himself. although that 'airs' vanish in thin air when he gets into scousebusting mode. ;)

was so happy when i came to know that he made it to IMI. i'm very sure that his dedication will lead him to great things in the future

great respect for u buddy , wishing u a lifetime of happiness and prosperity!!!! god bless

egonomist

a millionaire who's been in his family business for a couple of years now. had the impression of him being a gentle guy (dont ask me why). the impression changed when i met him in person in udupi.

there was this 'raste wala dada' all ready to knock you off your fk'in perch .

but chill he was , and the discussions that followed were one of the most memorable.

we had a great time , right from discussing his interview experiences to voicing our opinions about ashley cole's wag .

one hellava fellow.a guy who socializes really well.

here's wishing you all the very best in your life.

john terry rules!

This was my first season on PG. Got immense help from this forum. Got to know things which I was not even close to being aware of. Met a lot of puys, some was off decency and some, too decent for my liking.

Among the few ones to my liking are :

The Egonomist :
Met this guy on my trip to Manipal. At first sight, he would seem to be the 'mohalle ka gunda' sent to smack you left, right and centre. Add to that, I am not exactly a 6 footer.

But thats only as far as his physique will tell you. When you actually get down to talk to him, he'd seem to to be a very chilled out personality, who loves to mingle with people and interact. He has this ability to make friends pretty fast. Somehow, he manages to talk to seniors wherever he has attended his GD/PIs. A Chelsea supporter, who adores John terry. He is ready to help in whichever way possible whenever required.

Sir Roy Keane :
Now anyone with that ID would attract my attention. After all, Keano was someone who was adored by every Red Devil. The fact that I had to travel to Manipal for my only GD/PI outside Bangalore initiated our interaction. He was of great help not only to me but to several others traveling to Manipal since he was a localite of Manipal. Right from travel options to putting up at hotels in Manipal/Udupi, he was of great help to people aspiring for TAPMI. Met him personally on my trip to Manipal. A Keano admirer to the core, he is a regular at the PG Football thread.

Hoping you be at Manipal for 2 more years.

Regards.

I just NEED to write a special testimonial for my fellow puys from the football thread.

Coolroy - brilliant at analysing games, his analyses are always worth reading. Most of his pre-game predictions are accurate, and I'm not surprised. Acute observation power, I must say.

Sir Roy Keane - We may not always be on the 'same page' (eh, Roy?) as far as our favourite clubs and discussions about them go, but I'm sure we manage to liven up the forum with different takes about games/players/referees/managers etc.

Ande_ka_funda - Or as Roy calls him, 'egg of logic'. I think that sums him up pretty well. Again, good at analysing games, and offering valuable insights.

In addition, polpot, Jok3r, swagat (The Chelsea man!) and ronticus have great opinions. The best part about the thread is that despite being ardent supporters of different clubs, we manage to discuss every issue objectively, and without biases and prejudices.

Kudos to all of you, ROCK ON!!

It truly was a very good few months in puyland. And the frequency matches with people! Was telling coolroy that I would start a similar thread - but nitin beat me to it. Helluva thread buddy!

Well I went for three interviews and ran into many guys from PG, but will post of some guys who have been posting a lot.

PG Meet @ Pune:
Was the first meet I attended. I managed to meet Deep Agarwal, Jimmy Google and Hameed Bhai, robaroo, meetgmat and many others. Also, I had the first run in with Anvesh. Met some old PG members who arent as active. There were others too - but they are more the readers than the posters

anvesh23:
one of the first contacts I made on PG. Immediately exchanged nos and email IDs.Built an immediate friendship and we have met and stayed in contact ever since. We made a trip together to Mumbai - him for MICAT and me IMT-N. Good times I say. But one of our best times was the trip to Manipal. He had just finished his emotional interview at GIM . Remember pulling his leg for his impatience. Had fun buddy! We hung around quite a lot at Manipal too. All round good guy and he is set for MICA!

and lets not forget, he loves Arsenal and football!

rohanrun:
Rohan, a chilled out goan working in Pune. Met him because I had the same slot as him for TAPMI initially. But since I was done by the 13th and was in Udupi for awhile managed to meet him. A real nice guy, and again the friendship was instant. We visited the TAPMI new campus, ate lunch generally bummed around. Good times, I say. Looking forward to catch up with you again, man.

PSL:
The furthest north indian PG member I have met. Chilled out guy and always up for a drink. Met him for a short while at TAPMI and Udupi. Didnt get to hang out much with him, but hope to meet again.

sir roy keane:
sir roy keane, what a guy! awesome with football and what posts! met him and had seen him on orkut, but what an animated guy. "Maine CAT phoda", leaves me smiling, when he narrated his CAT story. Didnt get to meet him much but hope to hang out with more sometime. As to how we met - thought he wasnt in Manipal, so had pmed him and fortunately he had some time before he left for Chennai. So he called up and managed to squeeze me (not literally) into his busy schedule! He was the one who told me mr coolroy was in town.

hope you make TAPMI buddy - know how much you want it!

coolroy:
though at first I hadnt interacted with him much on the football thread (still a novice but make up for it with unflinching loyalty to JT) immediately gave him a call and met him. He is really chilled out - even for an IT guy. Again, the ease with which we made conversation says a lot about him. We had a good time (albeit short) but thoroughly enjoyable. And good for him - IMI convert! HR guy with awesome knowledge about body language and quick thought processes.

hope to run into you sometime soon (prolly at some football meet)

bharat raj:
the only resident Mangalore-based puy. Active contributer at the SOP thread and others too. Chilled out guy who was kind enough to show me Mangalore and take me around. Took me to a god awesome beach - which I think very few are fortunate to see. Enjoyed tiramisu at a local ice cream chain. Also, he managed to make it down to Pune. Watched a couple of movies and basically didnt do much here (nothing in Pune man). Next time you come down here, hope to show you some good places - though dont think it can beat that beach.

seniors from puyland:
met some seniors too though just for a while. Thought I would mention and let my appreciation be known to give sometime to guys with a lot of questions. Cherish, Gitesh and Ameya thanks a lot. Your inputs have been posted on threads and a lot of aspiring candidates have had their queries satiated.

A great month for me, met a lot of guys and hope to meet them again. Thanks guys for making this a memorable one for me and keep in touch. May need to network with you somewhere down the line

For those who I ran into, you know where I am so feel free to contact me.
Cheers! And Good Luck on your results!

I must've been temporarily insane to miss out writing about THE EGONOMIST! I always look forward to this man's comments on the football thread. Thaks to people like Egonomist, Roy, Coolroy, and Swagat, the football thread is not just a place where we discuss football ,and leave it at that. It is more like a forum where we also share in our happiness and sorrows. So, kudos to all you folks, yet again.

Also, another noteworthy set of people:

The Groaner aka Monsterkartik
- one of the souls who haunts the SB throughout the day, he is renowned for his groaning ability.

Willsurelywin - He for some reason always 'swoops' into the SB, and flies out again. Makes me wonder if he is in some way related to the hawk/eagle family.

Surreptitious - Now what do I say about this one?? Specialises in surreptitiously stalking the SB. Also, quite a p(h)unny chap. I guess he's keeping a low profile coz of the rotting whale scandal*.

Prashantiitiim - Ab kya boloon? Sirf naam hi kaafi hai...the man from IIT who will soon get into an IIM:thumbsup:

Cymba - Rather like Hobbes the tiger, whose picture she has on her profile picture. Hmmm...maybe, a bit of a mix of both Calvin and Hobbes...

Hameed - My new classmate and source for books for the next two years.

Richa12 - Talking about books, one can't have a discussion without her at the SB. This girl reads..reads..reads... (when shez not throwing rotting whales at CATtie.)

Nidhisoni24 - Es kudi vaare kee kahaan? Mere khayal vich ennu languages sikhan da shauk hai...get the drift? I'm teaching her Punjab VA on the SB.

Gabriel666 - What a name! As the name suggests, an angel and a devil rolled into one. Always game to help newbies:thumbsup: and rag oldies :splat:

Rani_das - Giving us all 'VA' classes. Raniwi reminds us all to brushVA before sleepVA... get it?

Ishita_n - She calls me Sam for some obscure reason. :splat:Maks me feel like Uncle SAM! :sarcasm: Of course, I call her ishu...and till date, Harsha seems to be confused about whether she is a clone or not. Maybe, we can have a separate poll on that.

Harsharocks - So, that makes two people who rock, eh? Amazingly helpful to newbies, this chap.

I think this post is getting a bit too long, so I'll write more about the gtalk gang, and other puys I've missed out on, later. Till then, thanks all you guys, and keep rocking!

*Please be at the SB more often to get more info on the rotting whale scandal, and the parties accused.

well thanks to PG first of all - it has turned me into a total pagal

I have made many friends on this portal and even met some of them through PG meets .

Some of them are vivek a.k.a the_egonomist : met him at the PG meet and hit it off ever since , as he has mentioned we went together for the MICAT (he for his IMT interview) , and of course to Manipal for the TAPMI process as well . This guy is huge by the way , but don't get scared - he is one of the nicest guys I have met 😉 He has seen how I behave at times and has calmed me down on many occasions . Thanks for being there buddy !

Also there is Deep_Agarwal : had met him first at the NMAT venue and we had a discussion on MBA in India and SIIB i believe ... later i came to know that Deep_Agarwal on PG is this guy ... He organised the PG meet where i met stalwarts of PG like Nitin , Hameed , JimmyGoogle , Pankhuri (Ankur) , MeetGMAT , Jackal and of course Vivek ...
Also he has always helped me out with my queries and has given me a lot of what we call on PG gyaan Thanks a lot Dude !

Then there is the football thread on PG - My favourite

Some of the views posted here are must reads , fantastic analysis of clubs , players , football and the latest happenings in the game - a big thumbs up for this thread
I met a lot of passionate soccer fans on this thread - Sir Roy Keane , Coolroy , Swagat , polpot , fire_kris , ande_ka_funda , Ronticus1002 , sumitrocks , ambujesh and many others ...

Guys , Keep the football thread the hottest and the most rocking on PG !!

Then there is Chuck on the MICA thread - the guy is an inspiration .. He has answered all the queries of MICA aspirants like me helping them out with info on everything regarding MICA ... Cheers mate !

Also there is Chinmaya (yettobepaid) and Arnav , fellow MICAns now who i met on PG itself .. In fact me and Arnav travelled to Mumbai and stayed there for the MICAT together ... Met Chinmaya there as well - great guy yettobepaid ...

I am a Puy for life now - PG has changed so much of my life !!

Cheers ,

Also, another noteworthy set of people:

Koi hum boodhe logon ke liye bhi testimonial likh do bhai 😐

Parulbajaj - Not only for her tremendous performance in all exams, but also for returning to PG after some personal attacks. It's great to see that she has made friends with some of us who were mean to her initially. Her biggest achievement though, which is really commendable. To quote her from the SB, "parulbajaj: sumit .. d one wid d best jokes ever!"

P.S. Anybody who can like my jokes has to be super-intelligent!!

P.P.S. Parul, I hope you can forgive all of us, and I sincerely hope that the mods revert the bans imposed on our fellow puys and let them return to ROCK PG.

A li'l note of thanks for Bugs Bunny, Skeptic, Ninja_talli, and Bijananda for helping the new XLRI batch despite being busy with exams and summers. Apologies if I've missed anyone's name here... and thanks a ton seniors.

Earlier, I'd only heard about XL's bonding, but having experienced it first-hand, without even having joined the insti.. kudos folks, and thanks!!

Sukrut deserves a pat on the back for renaming this smiley  and introducing us to the world of JBR (Jai baba ramdev)...
