These are my two cents on the kind of errors in the options of a Para-completion question and how to attempt them in a more systematic manner to ensure higher accuracy:

Disclaimer: I don't claim to be an expert, this is one of the things we discussed on a recent confy and people found it useful, so I thought sharing it made sense.

There are very specific kinds of errors in each option. Sometimes the same reason to eliminate multiple options. Let me list them.

1. Out of scope:
One of the options will be out of scope. The option will look relevant, but it will be beyond the scope of the passage.

E.g.

The passage speaks about an epidemic endemic to a region. And the option will extrapolate that to the entire world. Jaise, if we talk about malaria in Mumbai. The option will have," So, we should eliminate all kinds stagnant water sources all over the world."

Although that is valid to the passage, it is beyond the scope.

2. Micro scopic.

Opposite of out of scope.

3. Abrupt change.

The last sentence will have something after the passage.

But not right after the penultimate sentence. These are introduced to confuse you with an option that will technically be an idea that is chronologically fine, but with respect to the flow of the passage, abrupt to end the paragraph in question.

4. New idea.

Ye sabko pata rehta hai. No new ideas can be introduced unless relevant, but even they are rhetorical more than an introduction to new ideas.

Now coming to question solving,

Evaluate options keeping all these factors in mind. The upside is that your evaluation now gets a structure.

A simple systematic way is to write 'ABCD' on your sheet and then ek ek karke strike off karo as you eliminate the options. Elimination ko systematic banaake. PC practice karoge tab. See why the wrong options are incorrect. Aur yaad rakho, then elimination ke time pe usually similar type ke hi errors baar baar hote hai. Harr question main. Just look for the specific error. You find it, you knock it out.

Finding the correct one is tough. But eliminating the wrong ones is relatively easier.

Hope it helps.
