My name is Sagar Gupta. I am pursuing Mechanical Engineering from Jamia Millia Islamia, New Delhi. I am a pre final year student and would be giving CAT this year.
I want to ask you a question.
My Current CGPA is 8.80. According to the percentage conversion formula it comes out to be 77.35%.
While filling CAT form, do u ask for percentage OR CGPA ???
As 8.80 would be misunderstood for a percentage greater than 80, or else if they ask to write percentage, ,then my percentage is less than 80. and i guess there are some iims that give preference to students with 80 % in graduation.

the instruction would be provided when you fill the form and it is well 5 months away, so chill

Try to get your percentage as close to 80 as possible for now 😛

😲 Is this a special conversion formula prescribed by your college? Most people using the CGPA system just multiply by 10 as specified in the CAT form.

I had three semesters left when I got to know. Tried my best but couldn't cross the 80 mark. :banghead:

Haan, but god forbid if it comes to next yr. 😛 plus a good grade always helps, as I've come to realise all too late.
