Spoke about pros and cons of it, pretty decent.

GD : Indian Demographics : Is it an advantage ?

People spoke about India's geography, history, Arab Spring and pata nahi kya kya, whereas demography is something quite different

PI : Pretty generic.No technical, no current affairs.Questions on company, dad's business, why MBA, what is the toughest question one can ask you? (to this I said this is actually a very tough question one can ask me as in ''What is the toughest question one can ask you" Lol.But later I said anything on philosophy), So next question was if you were a car which one would you be and why .

1)State Three strengths of yours.One of them I said I am adaptable ,so he corrected me saying the word is adaptive.Then he asked should a leader be adaptive or stand on his ground ? I said depends on circumstances and should be both as long the team's goals are acheived.


2) state one of your weeknesses? Said sometimes people cant see the passion in me.So he asked do you mean you hide your emotions.I said no, people can find if I am dull or happy,but I control ,my passion and aggression for something inside and people sometimes perceive it a slack of passion.

3)Should more seats in MBA be given to men cuz women anyway after MBA work for two
years and get married.They also face glass ceiling?
Spoke about the perspectives women bring to the table which men can't and atleast services sector these days promotions on merit and no glass ceiling and gave example of our global vertical head being a woman.In the end the seat should be given the better and deserving candidate irrespective of the gender.

4)So the lady prof asked now that you support women working, do you think how you have been brought up would have changed if your mum had been working ?
I said mum used to work and now she doesnt cuz of different responsibilities etc and in the end if a lady can handle the home and imbibe the right morals and learinings in the kid, it is absolutely fine for women to work.Moreover, the husband of the house also has equal responsibility in the upbringing and taking care of the house, not only the woman,Its a combined effort.

5)Last question which the old prof said is not related to the interview.Do you pray ?

XLRI - BM :

GD : Will FDI in agriculture solve India's food problems.

Fish market, everybody spoke anything.Chipped in with inflation, middlemen, storage , bottlenecks in execution etc.Decent outing.

Interview : The whole group I was a part of had a stress one and so did I.

P1: Asked about slip rings.This was the first question and after a pause of 2 seconds, I asked for 5 seconds to think .Answered something, moved on

2) Diff between AC and DC motors?
Answered how armature rotates in DC machines and doesnt in AC machines.He kept on asking what rotates in AC and what doesnt in DC, I kept on telling field in one and armature in another.Then when I mentioned rotor, he said that is what he was looking for. Lol

3)Right hand rule?Explained

4) left hand rule ? Explained.
Comedy here : mentioned the opposite machine to which it is applied, got confused which is applied to motor and generator.I hope he didnt notice that.

P2 : Eco guy

1) You had this subject on management, so what are giffin goods?
I said been a long time since I learnt it (some back up if my answer is wrong ) , to which he said give it a try and I explained how their demand increases as price increases.

2) So you think they violate law of demand?
Haan ji

3)He asked why are they called Giffin, to which I said I think its because of the person who found this anomaly.

4) So is it after the person who coined them?
Haan ji again

5)Why dont people complain t consumer courts ?
I said no trust if action will be taken ,and even if the action is taken its already too late to make an impact.And many people dont even know if such courts exist and their rights as consumers

6) Name of the law which protects consumers?
Thought for 5 secs and said dont recollect

7)So what is there in this consumer's protection act?
From my day to day experiences and what I have heard, you can complain to consumer courts, can ask or exchanges for damaged goods or if they show something and give something else or if they should a good of one quality and what they give you is inferior to it.And, how any consumer complain should be acted upon within 30 days.

8)So basically, the right to exchange ?
Yes sir

9) Where are these courts located?
Sir , I think in every state but not sure

10) WHat do you know about management ?
TOld about dad's business and how I have learnt from it about market segmentation, pricing etc

11) How is market segmentation done?
A) Depends on the sector you are in (FMCG you cant price soaps for 500 as people buy it every week but luxury cars can be priced high as its a one time buy), depends on the place also (Southern people eat more thick rice and north wale basmati ), the demographics etc

P3 : This guy, in our group had the reputation of THE stress guy and since I was the seond last to go, had a small advantage of knowing he was stressing people out.

Tell 5 points in favour of it.

Me: thought for 2-5 seconds.IF I give him 5 points for that he'll ask me to come after 5 years of work ex since I am supporting it so nicely.

So, 1) It is good for people with who want to move from mid level to higher level of management and they already have an idea of their field
2)Good for people who want to stay in the same field after MBA as they already have knowledge in it and want to streamline their growth.
Pause.He comes in saying this is common for everybody and you havent understood what I meant.Repeats the question and I repeat the answers packing them in a different style.Mentioned two to three points and stopped.Aage nahi bolna 5 years work ex ke advantages .
