Last year it was 99.56 or close and i thought it could not go higher but it seems if a student is a general category male then the cutoff is close to 99.7 or higher. 😲 😲

yaar job se to haalat meri bhi kharab hai - mujhe tere jitna to problem nahi hai- i am well connected, but I too have to visit many places- plus office me RnD work karna padta hai- pehle hai dimag ka dahi ho jata hai- technical padte padte- fir uske baad ghar me aur dimag chalane ki iccha nahi hoti. Fir bhi try karta tha- but full fledged effort nahi denge- aur bakground profile strong nahi honga- tab to mushkil hai- even with 98.99 %ile me top 5 insti nahi mil payega. And to mention my job is worth more than getting into colleges below that (its my personal opinion-weighed by me). I can easily settle in mumbai with my current job and have comfortable life.
What I can suggest is weigh your options- think of opaque cat- usme bhi tumhe VA ka sochna honga- I know if I leave my job to prepare, I will never be sure of VA. So, it is a risky part for me.
So - weigh your options properly with back up plans- This age is very crucial- w/o experience it is difficult to get a good job. And if you want to be an entrepreneur - take it from me in writing that it do not require a MBA degree.
You can also try for switching into a good job at a proper place first and then start afresh with CAT or GMAT

For ppl who didnt get call after scoring 99.5, the difference was made by the girls who scored in the range 99.2 to 99.4 ..
Not Speculating but Males need atleast > 99.6x to get a Joka call .

Ab samajhlo sub-99.6 walo ka FMS nikalna aur bhi mushkil hoga with C's cutoff being this high. 😛 😛
