have given basically 3 XAT mocks only till now ..here is the review one by one...iXAT 00 actual XAT 11 pattern...a very good replication of the XAT papers...overall a gud one to attempt1326 TIMEa lil easier than XAT 12..but certainly attemptable..thou the level of XAT wld b higher than this1327 TIMElot more difficult than 1326..and i wld say slighlty difficult than XAT 12 and very much what u can expect in XAT 13...for the first time i was happy with TIME RCs questn setting...
Bro can we get 1326,1327 XAT papers from all TIME office??
I mean what are they actually??
Their mockxat is scheduled on 23 and 30 na then wat are 1326 and 1327?

Copy-Pasting post from GDPI Helpline Thread, don't know how many of you would have subscribed to it .. So, for the benefit of all :p

Dossier 1: How to kick off your preparation for GD ??

Get hold of a yearbook and go through it, but a yearbook is way too comprehensive, nothing like it if u can benefit from it.

The most important thing though is going through newspapers. One business newspaper, one regular daily should be read a-z with special emphasis on the editorial page. You should also ideally go through some other newspapers, just headlines, to ensure u do not miss out on any news. It is equally important to go through 1 business magazine and one regular magazine on a regular basis to develop a perspective on key issues. You can also browse through online blogs related to mba verticals to develop some knowledge on the recent happenings.Apart from this, news tablets released by almost all the major coaching institutes can be of some help, but these are secondary considerations, only if u find time IMHO. Also note down important points or statistics in a seperate copy to refer later. This helps a lot.

1. regular newspapers- TOI, HINDU
2. business newspapers- ET, Business Standard, Business line
3. Regular magazine- India Today, Outlook, Frontline(slightly left-oriented viewpoints IMO)
4. Business magazine- Businessworld, Business today, Business outlook

Form study groups and discuss topics within yourselves after thorough preparation. You'll find that you will not be able to put forward all points you have in mind. This will improve with practice along with other skills.

Coming to coachings: Almost all institutes i.e. CL , TIME & IMS provide a decent and similar GDPI Training ... IMS Achievers' Workshop and CL's Boot camp are the few popular programs for call getters from specific colleges... though, anyone can join there regular GDPI training. Select any 2 out of these 3 for specialized workshops and more importantly, try to take inputs from different trainers... then go back think and apply what you find to be best for you.
Don't just replicate blindly what they say... what is best for one case might not suit at all to other case!

Before going through lot of material, i will suggest to introspect and try to answer few questions like why mba , why xyz b-school ( customize it as per b-school) , your strengths, your weaknesses ( examples in support of strengths and weakness ) , your biggest achievement in life , instant where you had to choose between relations and values , your values, your long term goals, your short term goals , instant where you demonstrated your leadership skills, instant where you managed a team and other similar questions.

These are few questions to begin with...you will find them in almost every B-School's process in one form or the other... so, it is important to focus on these and have good and genuine answers for these as cross questioning might be there on the answers you give.... I will suggest to sit in a room and try to recall every big or small thing which happened in your life and then think that which of them relates the most to the questions asked and prepare your answers accordingly.

More such posts to follow to facilitate your preparation!

Cheers!
