PS: kaptaan SOP banane ki koshish kar rha hai FMS ke lie, meanwhile I have also joined IMS_Delhi for GDPI ( optimistic hna chahie insan ko ), XAT ke lie will start studying in few days :)

mai ghar aaya hun lko...gd/pi ke liye yahi retail ka article padha hai bas...xat ki prep abhi start karni hai
GDPI prep abhi se 😲 sahi hai, btw the real benefit of joining an institute for the same starts kicking in when you have actual call getters sitting beside you in the class.
@techgodajay yeah , the jitters i had felt when i had all the iim call getters beside me on my prep time.. waise how the rest of the junta... why dont we have a confy some time...after the exams? am expecting sabhi ke exams aa rahe hai...sirf fms waale rahat mein hai!!
FMS waale chor hai, koi kaam nahi hai unko. ya sure the old UDT back together, should be fun. Trust me it is more fun when you have call getters there, its good to know the people u are up against. When the guy next to you is preparing hard and u can taste the desperation on the tip of your tongue.... oh the thrill of it all.
@techgodajay seems like u wont mind sitting for it all over again...how is joka treating you?? fms waalo ka 3 weeks holiday hai!! can u believe it?? yaha am dying with project/assignment submissions and quizzes...
ah its treating me well, jolly good place this. The weather is just fine now and summer placements are over so sleeping is an viable option. I have always maintained that you cannot have a serious B-school in Delhi. I mean that place is too beautiful for studying, its like having to work 80 hrs a week in paradise 😛 . How are things at ur eem bee yaa :P
puhlease... Delhi might be a good place...but horrible weather!! How did u survive?? I am freezing out here... good u r able to sleep (though am jealous... 
) ..have got a lethargic group.. deadline ke ek minute pehle we submit most stuff!!

arre I am having problem with my spoken and written ability, so thought of starting early 
what are u saying? winters are the best and wait till it gets real cold. you need the right people to hang out with, not the ones who will sit inside wrapped in blankets. I suggest you gather some spirit and head northwards to see the first snow of the season, divine experience that.
@FSOG oh don't worry about what i say, i started a week before my C interview, so I am not the best guy to talk about gdpi prep 😛 Its good to start early if you feel comfortable that way.
MEra bhi SOP ka hi chal raha hai, FMS aur SP Jain ke forms ne bohuth sataya hai 
XAT ki prep next week se shuru karunga, next week se evening shift lagi hai, toh poori morning hogi (subject to getting up early )
GDPI - abhi luch nahi kiya hai, XAT ke baad hi proper wali shuru hogi

Since everyone is busy writing SOPs, just wanted to share few very basic things that i will suggest to keep in consideration:
1. Do not try to use very complicated vocabulary... let SOP be simple and having the continuity. Use of complicated words might project it as an artificial whereas the panels want to see your true self in SOP. 😃
2. Avoid using too many jargons/ terminologies unless you are comfortable in the questions that might pop up on them during interview. You wont get brownie points if you mention jargons but aren't able to defend them in interview. 😃
3. Do try to include the long term vision for your career in SOP and try to correlate it with the college/course for which you are writing the same. Panels love to see clarity of thoughts that you have about your career in long term and how you actually see their college/course as a bridge for the same.
4. Don't spend high proportion of SOP in praising the college/course, just a line at max should suffice 😉 Prefer to project what you are, your strengths , your vision in short term and long term and how respective college will be the facilitator in majority of the SOP.
5. Be precise, avoid redundancy and reflect your confidence in the words.
As of now, this much should suffice. Last but not the least, try to get your SOPs reviewed by 2-3 people, it would help!
