115 2 now the reasoning
A -> Well the details about the survey are not declared..its just spoken in two lines and the responses are given...so we do not kno what kind of survey it was....so this cannot be the main conclusion...v cannot say it with some confidence whether the manager was really incompetent on just this small thing...
B -> again it is more of an inference...than a conclusion...
C -> Yes this can be concluded because instead of asking the manager...the company had to conduct a survey to really kno the views of its employees...so manager didn't do his duty properly..
D -> This comment feels very harsh..
116 2
it says the options that wld impact the society most..
well in my case D wld impact the most coz instead of thinking abt the employees ...the company decides to expand its company and only luks for profits instead of rewarding the employees..i feel this is the option that wld impact the most
117 really have no idea on what terms to think in this case...but if have to pick one option it wld be 5

@anupam001 said:Questions 115 to 117): The year 2004 was agreat year for Top-Cloth cotton mill. Manufacturingtowels for the export market employing more than2000 workers, the company had an impressivegrowth in sales and profits. The Chairman felt thatemployees were entitled to a share in the profits andit was proposed that the employee mess be air-conditioned.The proposal was discussed in a meetingthat was attended by, among other senior officials, the marketing director, the personnel director andthe finance director. The proposal was based on thefact that the shop floor of the mill often had temperaturesin excess of 40Β°C with a relative humidity of99%. The air-conditioned mess would represent management'sappreciation of the employee's hard work.At the end of 2005, management reviewed themill's performance. Profits were higher, and employeeattrition was negligible. Chairman decided thatemployees deserved additional recognition for theirfine work. Since the mess had already been air-conditioned,the chairman wanted to know if theemployees appreciated this sort of action. In thecourse of discussion the chairman asked the personneldirector to send a questionnaire to a sample offifty employees and obtain their reaction to the airconditionedmess. The management agreed todecide only after obtaining the feedback from theemployees. The personnel director mailed a simple form tofifty employees asked them for the following information:βPlease state your reaction to the air-conditionedmess.βOf the fifty forms mailed, forty-six werereturned. The answers received were as follows:Reaction FrequencyβI did not know it was air-conditioned.β 16βI never eat thereβ 8βIf management can spend money 6like that, they should pay us moreββI wish the entire mill was 8air-conditioned.ββThe mess is for management employees.β 4βIt is OK.β 2Miscellaneous comments 2115. The main conclusion(s) about the personneldirector that emerge(s) from this situationis(are):A. The personnel director did not have the competenceto manage an employee feedbacksurvey, and should have been given the taskto a professional consultant.B. The personnel director was responsible foremployees' reactions.C. The personnel director had failed in his dutyof maintaining constant touch with employees.D. The cost of air-conditioning is a waste, sinceits beneficiaries did not feel any benefit.1. B only2. C only3. D only4. A, C and D5. A, B, C and D116. Management of Top-Cloth cotton mill considersitself to be socially conscious and its decisionsare often re-examined for their social relevance andthe impact on society. In view of this consideration, what could have been considered before deciding onprofit sharing?A. communicating management's intentions viaemployee newslettersB. taking employee's inputs in designing thecafeteria's interiors and installation ofair-conditioningC. considering employee's views on differentways of sharing excess profitsD. investing in capacity expansion to take careof the booming export marketE. dividing the profits equally among the workersand shareholdersThe options in decreasing order of their impacton society:1. B, C, E, D, A2. D, E, C, B, A3. C, B, A, D, E4. A, B, C, D, E5. E, D, C, B, A117. This decision-making situation best highlights:1. managerial short-sightedness in decisionmaking2. managerial benevolence in sharing profitsamong the workers3. managerial incompetence in handling anegative feedback in employee survey4. inefficient infrastructure management5. None of the abovereasoning explain bhi kar dena sab log
115. 2. C only, since if director was in constant touch he would have pre-empted the reaction of the employees and had not taken such measures in d 1st place, so he failed to do it
116.3 i believe employees should be listened before taking any decision regarding them, they should be considered, this easily eliminates all other options for me
117.1. thought i believe communication gap is more a bigger issue here dan short-sightedness... bt instead of goin with this none of these, i would feel relatively safer to mark option 1 that the manager did not think much about the impact of his decisions he did not try to have them accurately calculated rather he based his decisions on his own intutions

1 ka 4 lag hi raha tha mujhe.
2,3 ke baare main toh completely clueless now.
dekho last toh pakka galat hain...jisne bhi woh choose kia hain..bahut dayavaan ban rha hain management ke liye...
first waale mein i hav given my reasoning why i think A is not the main conclusion...
second mein why not expanding the business have the most impact on the society rather than dividing the profits among the employees which in my case wld b a good option...
