Hey HI!!
Thanks for starting this thread... i want to know a couple of things.
1. how much GMAT score is required to get into Nanyang Business School.
2. how much will be the tuition fees for the whole MBA course?
3. whatz the scenerio for getting a scholarship?
Please do let me know.
1. GMAT is only one of the many parameters that the school measures. We also look at your experience (both quality and no. of years), international experience and your overall profile. So, from our perspective we try to see what you bring to the Nanyang MBA classroom. It might be interesting for you to see the MBA brochure and find out how diverse a Nanyang MBA class is.
2. 55,000 SGD for full time/ part time MBA.
3. You have to apply for scholarships at the time of applying. Depending on the scholarship you are applying for (after checking your eligibility), you may have to fill a separate scholarship application. Scholarships are usually very competitive and only the best of the best get it. All scholarships have deadlines which may or may not coincide with the application deadlines. So please check the Nanyang MBA website to get the specific details.
You can get the MBA brochure at the following link-

You can get the scholarship details at the following link-

Hi
I d like to know about the placement scenario at Nanyang. Does the institute have a dedicated placement cell, which arranges for companies on campus or are placement fares organized?

We have a dedicated career development office for the MBA program. We have companies visiting us throughout the year. Many a times we go for company visit ourselves. Its been only two months since this MBA journey started and we have visited so many companies and attended the sessions of so many companies on campus. However placements are not spoon-fed as they are in Indian B-schools. Its a student's responsibility to get placed and the careers office facilitates such events to help you. Networking is hence an essential part of the MBA. I hope this answers your question.

Thanks AIM15, can you also advise as to whether the Nanyang MBA holds good value worldwide or is primarily effective in S E Asia?

A Nanyang MBA is recognized as one of the leading MBA programs in the world Its a global MBA with an Asian focus. We have participants from across the world and our alumni are working for top companies in various parts of the world. I feel its a degree that is recognized not just in Asia but across the globe....its a global MBA and not a local MBA.
Might be interesting for some of the applicants to find what we really do in the orientation week. So here is the link to a you-tube video-

Please check the following link for an estimate on living expenses-
The Nanyang MBA - Fees & Expenses
Regarding your first question, it depends not only on your no. of years and quality of work experience but also how different the target industry is from your current industry.
Regarding your second question, Singapore is hub to large number of consulting companies. So there are consulting jobs definitely out here.

Hi Ramya,
I am looking for NTU-Waseda Program.
There are couple of questions to ask you:
1. How different is this Waseda Program different from the normal MBA program at Nanyang?
2. I have a GMAT score of 640 :). So what are my prospects of getting a call from this double degree program?
3. What are career wise prospects for this program?
I am looking for placing myself in consulting job in IT. My strong point is i worked for Samsung for 4+ years where I have some knowledge of Korean market an their business role.
4. What are the placement criteria? How good are the chances for i to get a job in India?
Do let me know as much as you can.
Vishal.

Thanks for your reply. Just a quick snapshot of my profile
Gmat:700
Work Ex: 2yrs - IT -Accenture- reporting and analysis
1.5 years-Business reasearch and analytics
(basically from analytics field)
Partime startup - 3ardents .com
Another set of question ;)
1. Would it be relatively easier for a person from business analytics to move to consulting?
2. Does Nanyang conduct campus placements? if yes what percentage of placements are from consulting companies recruit.
3. How would you compare Nanyang MBA to other singapore college mba, on Quality, Value, placements and ROI.
I am not a right person to do a personal profile evaluation considering these details are only small part of your overall profile. I have already talked about the placements in my previous posts. Please go through the brochure (i have already posted the link to it) and you would find the exact statistics there.
Its a top B-school in Singapore. You should look at fitment when you are searching for which schools you want to apply. Can you add value to the class and will the school add value to you? Even the world's number one b-school might not suit you if your answer is no to either of the above questions. This is all personal stuff and part of your own research.

Hi Vishal
Please take note of the changes which will be implemented in Nanyang - Waseda program, from next year, which are yet to be featured in the official website
- Students will be attending last trimester @ Waseda university in Japan.
- Students can opt to extend your MBA by taking up an additional trimester @ NBS at the end of one year
- Students have more flexibility in terms of choosing your courses
For differences between the two courses find more info @
NANYANG-WASEDA Double MBA
Welcome to the Top MBA in Singapore - The NANYANG MBA
Please check the other posts in this thread for questions reg placements.
There is no fixed bar to measure, certainly the school looks for unique profiles, in terms of your experience and the kind of value you would bring along.
Please let me know if you have further questions....
1. What is the program cost for NANYANG-ST. GALLEN Double Masters or Double MBA
2. Is the admission criteria different for General MBA/Specialized MBA/Dual Degree MBA
3. Would i need to apply for ST. Gallen along with my application to NTU.
4. Do I have an option to change from one program to another during my application process.
Can you please let me know if I can have a verbal communication with current students at Nanyang.
Thanks,
Aditya
