The NorthCap University

The NorthCap University (NCU), rebranded itself on 31 August 2015. NCU is a unitary university situated in Sector 23-A, Gurugram, Haryana and accredited by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) 2016-2021. It was founded in 1996 by Educate India Society as an Engineering Institute to provide higher education in Engineering and Management. NCU has been ranked as ‘The University of the Year 2017’ by the Higher Education Review and among the top 150 universities under National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) by the Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India

The University imparts education in undergraduate and postgraduate programmes in engineering, management, sciences and law. It is recognized by various government and regulatory bodies for teaching and awarding degrees. The University is approved by the University Grants Commission (UGC) and recognized by the Bar Council of India (BCI). The University is a member of the Association of Indian Universities (AIU). Aside from being a Member of the American Society for Quality (I) Pvt Ltd, it is accredited by Accreditation Services for International Colleges (ASIC), UK.

The NorthCap University continues to be the leader amongst the private universities in Delhi & Haryana in the NIRF ranking, conducted by Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD), Government of India for the year 2019, the result of which was released by the Hon’ble President of India on 08 April 2019. The University has been ranked 117 in the Engineering category and rank band of 151-200 in the University category in All India NIRF ranking survey 2019 in which 970 Institutions participated.

To promote excellence in Technical and Management education The NorthCap University (NCU), Formerly ITM University, Gurugram was founded in 1996 as the Institute of Technology and Management, Gurgaon by Educate India Society and affiliated to Maharshi Dayanand University, Rohtak. American Society for Quality (ASQ), Student Chapter

ASCE brings in practicing engineers to inform students about the civil engineering field. Social events are also held so that students can get to know each other outside of class. There are also opportunities for students to participate in national student competitions.

Objective of “ASCE”: The objective of the ASCE student chapter is to increase participation and interest in the civil engineering discipline through involvement with practicing engineers, the national organization, and community service.

Association for Computing Machinery (ACM), Student Chapter  

Founded at the dawn of the computer age, ACM’s reach extends to every part of the globe, with more than half of its 100,000 members residing outside the U.S. Its growing membership has led to Councils in Europe, India, and China, fostering networking opportunities that strengthen ties within and across countries and technical communities.

ACM’s broad?based infrastructure supports more than 860 professional and student chapters worldwide. These “local neighborhoods” offer opportunities for members to gain access to critical research and establish personal networking systems.

NCU faculties have formed a capable and creative team of developers, artists, PR practitioners and organizers. Their web development team is lead by Deepanshu Jain has done a great work with our website.Their group of content writers work under Chhavi Jain and show their magic with reports and articles. Garima handles  social media with a team of socially very active people. The event organizers and the graphic designers work with Jatin to manage the resourceful and informative events we conduct regularly.

The Economic Collective Club, School of Management, The NorthCap University, organized The Economic Conclave on “Economics: An Evergreen Discipline of Study”, Cream Bell being the Industry Partner, on 20th Novermber, 2019, 11:00 AM onwards at The NorthCap University. The event started up with a brief introduction about the event. Hon’ble Vice Chancellor, Dr. H.B. Raghavendra gave a speech, explained the importance of Economics in day to day life. Then investiture ceremony took place where students of the club were also given badges for their various office posts of the club. Prof. Hemant C. Trivedi, Officiating Dean, School of Management, started the session where two experts came and shared their various ideologies.

Students from DAV and Indira Gandhi Senior Secondary School came and participated in the event.

NCU Law Review is a peer-reviewed biannual academic publication of the Centre of Post-Graduate Legal Studies (CPGLS) at School of Law (SoL), The NorthCap University (NCU), Gurugram (formerly ITM University, Gurgaon). This publication is an endeavour to serve as a forum for the promotion and circulation of views on contemporary legal issues among members of the legal profession, academicians, and students. A large number of collaborative Research Projects are under operation with funding from many funding agencies.
