Tapmi Batch of 2010-2012

Just called sudeep sir. He told that I am wait-listed in the first hundred. He told I can convert my PGDM call, but with some luck.
I think, if it is only for 120 seats, my chances r very bleak.. If additional 60 seats are AICTE approved, then I have a fair chance.. Lets hope for the best:|

How many wait-listed calls in total were issued ??
You could have looked for the list of recruiting partners for placement 2010. It would have easily solved your query.
Advice in public interest: 😃 If you are serious about your MBA education do some your own research, instead of throwing every question on this thread.

Hi ,

The list of recruiting companies do not show what profiles are offered to student. Deloitte and KPMG to name a few in the list .....does not indicate what kind of consultancy job is offered ......it can be tax consulting ....IT consulting ........Portfolio management etc etc ............. I asked this question to know specific answers, not to know if consultancy companies vist campus ..........Talking about seriousness for MBA ...this thread should not exist .......because people here ask about TAPMI reputation.....AICTE approval ...Fees .........etc ....which they all should know before applying to college .......
PS: No offence........to you sir ........but it could have been good if you have provided some good inputs ....instead of that unwanted advice

A list of profiles which are being offered at TAPMI for different specializations had already been posted in the thread before. We are sorry but we cannot put(post) company names and the profiles they offered in a public forum... In case anyone needs them, PM any senior or call them up for details

Of late it seems our(2009-11) presence is no longer needed in this thread.. Most of the queries are repeated and you people find our posts as "unwanted advice"... This thread was created with the sole intention of passing out information to all aspirants who would be joining TAPMI... From our side we took utmost care to divulge all information possible, on a public forum to help the aspirants make correct choices.

We understand the anxiety surronding TAPMI admission this year and the feeling that the college is being unfair. But on a personal front, college is taking actions which would ensure that the aspirants are not at loss going forward. Unlike many other colleges which have declared results for seats that are not AICTE approved, TAPMI has made sure that results are withheld till clarity on AICTE approval is received. I have not come across any other college where the Admission Chairman personally handles so many queries of aspirants patiently. Coming to our batch, most of us are putting up extra hours at our internship, just to make sure we handle all the queries at pagalguy while some have gone ahead and shared personal numbers also so that the aspirants talk over any clarifications they need before joining TAPMI.

If some queries are not answered at PG, its because we ourselves dont have idea about that query or are bound by rules not to post it in a forum.

Sourabh,

I guess what you need is something like this -
Student nameCompany nameProfile offered |Package offered |City of joining | Variable partfixed part Is this package inflated (If yes, %)

Two things-

1. If you know CAT provides limited data to solve DI/LR problem, In MBA you get limited data to solve case problems, In real life as a manager you have limited data to arrive at solution.

So all these things are there for some purpose, respects that and accept that. If you feel you can't work with limited data, We can't help you on that.

2. If you get me placement data is above given format for any college, we'll request our placecom to release in same format.

P.S. - No offence but you missed on your basics.

Hello All (Once again)!

Firstly, many many thanks are due to the seniors of TAPMI for taking the time and effort to answer the questions of all aspirants despite their not being privy to details of this year's admissions process.

I did a google search for AICTE and came across their website @ www.aicte-india.org.

Browsing through the website, I came across a list of the institutions and their programs which have been accredited.

http://www.aicte-india.org/downloads/laccreditedprogrammes.pdf#toolbar=0&zoom;=85

On page 41, item no. 63, its clearly evident that the accreditation for TAPMI's PGDM program has lapsed since late 2006. My intention in bringing this fact to notice is by no means meant to defame TAPMI or cast aspersions on the authenticity of its claims, but rather a fact finding mission.

Also, I'd request the other people browsing this thread to kindly take a few minutes in judiciously using the search feature, rather than having repetitive posts.

Please remember that we are all future managers, and ought to refrain from personal attacks or slander.

Hello Sir,

My intention is only to put this " that all of us are different ...we may know something and we may not know something ......sometimes we just ask questions to calm ourselves and get confusion out of our mind ......
some questions may seek unwanted or redundant .......but I expect seniors to consider all of us at the same base ...as a lay man ....and take this oppurtunity to guide us in a proper way .....giving us the best possible
insight ...this will also increase mutual respect and the feeling of ownership and integrity" . Everybody knows what qualities a MBA aspirant has ...and all of us trying to built on them .......but it takes time and efforts.....and guidance from seniors ......but sometimes the way we guide may not seem apropiate ...its just the way we convey our ideas.....may not be welcome ..so we should make sure that we address questions without giving any idea of Mockery .......
Its just a PR exercise

We have been trying our best to answer the queries and we do this just based out of our own interest(and we are not into PR execise for college and neither are we paid for this). I agree there are queries where we have not been able to answer to the best of satisfaction for the candidates. Also we have used posts such as "use search option: the query has been answerd". But at the end of the day imagine the number of queries being handled by us both online and offline (over phone). At one point we get irritated to answer the same query again and again.. If any aspirant has got hurt by our comments then I would like to apologise. There is no intention of making a mockery of anyone/any question.
Hi Ashish,

I converted NIRMA and TAPMI both ......and I happily left NIRMA .......as in my opinion TAPMI is the best ...

Friend,
Looks like you sure are joining TAPMI and you have no doubts about its reputation.
So once you enter the college, I think you'll get every information related to job profiles..(whatever can't be disclosed here)
Till then just chill mate.. Enjoyyy and pray for waitlisters like us...

PS: Yahan koi mockery-vockery nahi hota.. it's a forum for PAGALs...

Check page number 53, Item no 330

I think TAPMI is not a brand which will lie on this big an information.
After all the inquiries and research, I think we should also give some weightage to the word called 'Trust'. After all this institution has survived for 25 long years.

The link that I posted before gives the 'accreditation status' and nothing else. The link above merely states the fact that TAPMI is a recognized institution by AICTE. "Accreditation" & "recognised" are two different aspects altogether.

While I agree that 'trust' is instrumental in buliding brand value, it is equally important that one does a little further research when taking an important decision.

It has never been (nor will be) my intention to cast doubt on TAPMI's reputation or any other B-school for that matter.

Good that sandeep terminated the query here else the next query would have been "Who would be the reporting manager?" ; "Job hours?".
