Tapmi Batch of 2010-2012

Talked to admission office now.

Sudip sir was kind enough to entertain all my queries. He told me that my wait list no is a little beyond 150, so there is an outside chance to convert into these 120 seats otherwise if they get approval for rest of the 60 seats for PGDM then my chances are good bcoz the wait list movement is big.

On the other hand he said, you stand a very good chance for sectoral programmes, list of which is expected on/after 20th of this month.:cheers:

Then I asked him, if they dont get approval for those 60 seats for PGDM programme then will they go woth Manipal univ? then he replied, no for PGDM it has to be approved by AICTE If they don't get approval then 120 seats only. But for sectoral programme either AICTE or Manipal univ.

My take on this is sectoral programes are gonna start, its just a decision away. Admission for PGDM may get stretched depending AICTE approval.

Exactly same thing he told(beyond 150,i guess 150-250) me if those 60 seats get approved then i will have a good chance for next list otherwise in next list, if there are any list came after 28th list.

And for other courses i have quite good chance for them....

Plesae GoI give AICTE approval to TAPMI, that only thing i can pray..

I was also told the same thing. my waitlist according to Sudip sir is around 300 and chances of admission into PGDM is very less however chances of getting admission into other courses are high and the notification for that will come out only after 20th or most probably 28th.

Hey Ramjas upto now as per the thread 150 people are remaining in Waitlist how can u be 300.Did Sudeep sir tell u how many were in Waitlist. just to clear my confusion
@Rakeshn

The post above by a senior should give you the info you require.

Regarding whether you should take admission or not, I guess that is a personal decision that you should make as ONLY you know what your aim in life is. Possible criteria that you should consider would include current pay package, current company and role, expected value addition in terms of both knowledge and profile after a PGDM at TAPMI etc etc among others.

Hope you make the right decision. All the best.

Well spoke to 2 (hdfc, syndicate) banks that Tapmi has a tie up with...
hdfc:11.25 % rate of interest (upto 7.50 without collateral or third party) time to sanction loan...approx:10 days
syndicate:10% rate of interest (upto 7.50 without collateral but third party guarantor req) time to sanction loan....approx: 1month(but paid amount will be reimbursed)

as Twinkle posted some pages ago.. i m here repeating the same link

Education Loan, Study Loans, Best Education Loans, Educational Loan - HDFC Bank

TAPMI comes under their premier insti and acc to tht.. one can get a loan of Rs.12lac (without collateral or third party) wid 10% interest rate @ HDFC

I had met HDFC officials...I agree wit Chandini.. They said for TAPMI and other premier institutes, it is 11.25% and all others it is 12% FLAT... Not sure where bargaining comes into picture.. These are reputed banks wit fixed rate...

If Twinkle has managed a 10% rate, hats off to her.. Need to get some marketing tips from her at TAPMI.. 😉 No pun intended..

Wat about collateral? Chandini says upto 7.5lacs there is no collateral required whereas the link that Twinkle has provided shows no collateral upto 12lacs.

Can anyone clarify please?

When I enquired wit 3-4 banks including HDFC, all said that upto 4 lacs, only copy of ur offer letter is needed.. Upto 7.5lacs, no tangible collateral required but you need a co-applicant (relative) who is an earning member in India and pays income tax.....

Above 7.5lac till 15 lac.. you need tangible collateral along wit co-applicant... And the loan can be availed only in place of residence... Only Interest rate varies from bank to bank, rest all r more or less same.. This is wat I got on ma research, open to debate... :)

Regards

hey...just met another rep from hdfc from another dpt..yes with the printout of their website...upto 12 lac* is provided...without 3rd party guarantor/collateral...though rate of int seems to be the same as i mentioned earlier..11.25...though gonna grill them on giving me a lower rate of int considering twinkle managed to get a 10%...

This is something totally unheard of (atleast to me). Can you please explain in detail what exactly you mean?

Even i called them, they said that i m amongst next 150 waitlisters. I asked them abt my no. he said its around 100, so I need a bit of luck... He said if tapmi gets aicte approval then I quite definite to get a convert.. I just pray that tapmi gets aicte approval so that many more waitlisters like me get converts...
