I got the mail confirming my provisional admission yesterday. Unfortunately was out of town and saw the mail only a little while ago. I tried calling the office but was unable to reach them, however, I have sent a mail to both Prof.Sudeep and Ms.Sujatha to confirm that I will join. Can anyone please let me know if this would result in the cancellation of the offer.

well u need to send the draft before the due date, if u can do that ur seat is safe. Else try calling Prof Sudeep approximately around 2:00 PM. that is the time when he might not be having classes and can answer ur call.
If you reject TAPMI and continue to stay on at KJ and wanna console yourself, just go thru Pagalguy and Business India's B-School rankings!
Assuming you're ready to vacate your KJ seat, TAPMI could cost you around 11 lakhs + around 1.5 lakhs for KJ you've paid and won't see a penny of again! 12.5 lakhs!! 😲 :-o No one can really answer this query for you except yourself!

I cannot comment on the standard of other colleges but just want to make three points here.
1. TAPMI is one of the most reputed and respected bschools, it has one of the best infra (u would be pleasantly surprised after lookin at our hostel and class rooms); it has one of the best set of faculties amongst private bschools in India, appropriate ambience for studies, a huge library and a 24X7 Computer centre with one of the best IT infrastructure. and finally a set of extremely able students.
2. TAPMI has a proved track record of cultivating excellent business leaders and this is proved by the fact that many in my batch has left colleges "ranked" higher than TAPMI and joined here.
3. I personally know atleast 2 people who are forfeiting more than 1 Lac Rs in order to join TAPMI. But please understand that you are the best judge of your investment so take an independent and informed decision..

decide really fast, I would also say, if you have the money, then look at the bigger picture.
Your first job will last for 1 or 2 years at best : trust me... If you are really good, It might not even last 6 months : (Assuming you get the worst placement on offer)
Always bank on one thing - World wide alumni strength - Try not to go for schools with any regional, linguistic, monetary, backward, forward bias - Why? People with biases won't go further in comparison to people who don't in a 10-20 year career. its impossible. Natural Brilliance will always outshine any other criteria over the long term.
Your MBA friends will someday be in the best of places. I am sure they will be more than happy to tag you along if you ever need help.
Always look at the big picture. 1.MBA is value investing and not a trade. 2.Tapmi is clearly undervalued, You always invest in something when its undervalued. 3.In 2001/02/03, ISB wouldn't even be ranked in top 50 but the guys who choose it over the other guys mindlessly ranting names of other b-school, did they do a mistake?

Dude,the hostel fees is already covered in your installments.look at the break up given in call letter. The hostel fees for the 2nd year would be covered in the remaining installments.

The 1st year hostel fees is covered in the 3.1 L rs. u will have to pay the 2nd yr hostel fees with the 3rd installment.
