Hey There Everyone.....

You need people who are already here in Tapmi, or people preparing to be here ? I'm here in Tapmi now, and I'm from Thrissur.

Rick.

Rick,

Can you please let me know the cut-off percentile for getting call from Tapmi for last year?? Is there any sectional cutoffs???

-Jitin
"To make god laugh, tell him your plans"

Jitin,
Last year, calls were given till 83.6 percentile. But all people above this percentile didn't get a call, it includes other criteria like workex, extra currics etc. Sectional cut offs were there, but they were not too high.
Disclaimer: The information provided is best of my knowledge and belief and they are totally personal opinions. No official information is released about this.

Hey rxn911

What was the cut-off percentile for freshers ???

Thanx

Gulshan,

We are not aware of a separate cut-off for freshers, the calls were given based on various parameters. If you're a fresher, you're never competing with a work-ex guy, but with other freshers who has got better credentials.

Hi Lass,

That is too broad a question and most of the details you've asked are available on our website http://www.tapmi.org/ and most of them must be in the brochure also, I think. If you can be more specific, I could be of help to you.

Infrastructure: http://www.tapmi.org/pages/infra.htm

Faculty: http://www.tapmi.org/pages/faculty1.htm and
http://www.tapmi.org/pages/faculty.htm

Exchange programmes: There are tie-ups with foreign universities, but they are mainly for research purposes. Some discussions are on regarding the exchange programmes, but as of now there is no 'Student exchange programmes'.

Alumni Association: http://www.tapmi.org/alumni/pages/get_connected.htm
http://www.tapmi.org/pages/alumni2.htm

And what sets Tapmi apart is never a one liner. I would suggest to go through various sources like our website and discussions on PG to feel it for yourself. Apart from that, characteristics I must associate with Tapmi are values, ethics, discipline and focus on academics.

Rick.

My final year examinations will be over by June 30, 2006. So what is the last date before which I must complete all the required exams to be eligible ?
OR in even simpler words .... What is the tentitive date of starting of session?? and do they allow the students to appear for final exams after joining TAPMI ???
These final exams in june is realy creating probs for me.

Sessions will normally start around mid June and you are supposed to complete your graduation before that. That means, you have to be here continuously once the session is on and you WILL NOT be permitted to go. But in some rare and genuine cases, purely at the discretion of the PGP office, they MAY permit you to go and complete your exam. You will have to produce evidences for this. (Two of my batchmates were permitted to go)

But in either case, you have to submit your Degree Certificate before a particular date (somewhere around two months after the commencement of course) and no extension is given for this date (Obviously, you cannot flunk any of the final exams). One of my batchmates secured admission in our senior batch actually but he was asked to leave since he couldnt produce Degree Certificate before the deadline.

Lass,

Decision to do a PG in management as well as to join any particular institute is a personal decision and what others, including seniors, can do is to help you in understanding the institute so that you can take a better informed decision. This is exactly why Tapmi needs to know why a candidate is seeking admission here, to check whether his/her requirements are something in tune with what Tapmi provides. Business is a 'subject' here not 'the business' and please refrain from associating jargon like 'USP' with Tapmi, which is an educational institute to the core. Nobody is 'Selling' Tapmi to you, YOU are opting it, IF you found it befitting to your requirements.

About the faculty, we are proud of them and all of them are 'Dhaasu' for us, Tapmians. Check their profiles yourself to see if they're so in your view. Following are our Finance faculty members and the last link will provide you the description of visiting faculty. If someone thinks that degrees, records and accolades are something which makes a faculty 'Dhaasu', it is a misconception in my opinion.

http://www.tapmi.org/pages/faculty/rajagopalan.htm
http://www.tapmi.org/pages/factulty/biswal.htm
http://www.tapmi.org/pages/faculty/harish.htm
http://www.tapmi.org/pages/faculty/kanagaraj.htm
http://www.tapmi.org/pages/faculty/lakshmi.htm
http://www.tapmi.org/pages/faculty/guest.htm

And what makes Tapmi different from others is not some'thing', it is actually 'somebody' - that is us - Tapmians.

Decision is yours !!

Rick.

Hi Soumya,

Please check out the following pages for the details about our placements.

Highest salary was offered to a workex guy with 2 years of experience. And our figures are never fudged, this is the exact salary they are getting.
