@deepak1139 PPO stands for pre placement offer and PPI stands for Pre placement interview.
A PPO is a direct offer which u receive for ur final job after a good show in your summers job.(summers mean a 2 month work stint as part of academic courses of most mngmnt institutes).
A PPI means u get a call for an interview for the same firm in which u did ur summers, but its only a direct call for an interview(no need to get shortlisted), not a direct offer
