I come form the engg background. After having worked on technical side (IT) of things for 11 yrs, I moved on to the management role. It's been 5 yrs that I have been into core middle management.Having explored all learning oppourtunities in my existing level, I think it's a time to take a break and go throguh a full time one year ePGP class to learn the managment skills in the formal way. Two expectations from this course - to move into the Sr managment arena, and polish management/leadership skills.
I have seen application page on IIM/ISB website. Although they are clear on min age for admission, but I could nothing specific for the upper age limit. Also checked the current class profile, it talks about the average age and experience of the batch (average 33yrs age, 10 yrs exp).
I am keen to hear from the professionals on this forum, if my higher experience (16+ yrs) can go against me ? I have just started thinking about it, with the application deadlines reaching fast, I can make to the 2016 batch at the earliest. Any thoughts ?
