In short, Frrole is a social-local news app that analyses tweets from a million+ users and filters 0.1% of them into different categories like business, politics, entertainment, sports etc. What differentiates Frrole from other news aggregation apps is:
1. You can select a city/country to read local news. For now, Frrole cover 52 cities & 6 countries (India, US, UK, Australia, Canada, Singapore) - No other news app/source gives you localized content divided into different categories.
2. The news source of Frrole are tweets, so in addition to all the mainstream media, Frrole also bring you news from millions of individuals. Consider it - If you have posted something on twitter that is informational, your tweet can also be published on Frrole main page.
A live example of how Frrole is adding value: After the unfortunate incident in Delhi recently, a group of girls were arrested by Delhi Police. One of the girls tweeted it using her mobile, Frrole's algorithm saw it as an important news and showed it on the main page within half an hour. No other news source can dream of this kind of democratization of news.
It can be a really useful app for students/working professionals, as it brings you all the most relevant and popular news collected from millions of sources in real-time.
