When can the joining of ta in cbec would happen? Is there any process to be followed now? When should we submit our location preferences?

hi frens i need some suggestions from seniors i am selected as excise inspector in cgl 2015.i am preparing for civil services as i need job i started preparing for ssc n got ta cbdt in 2014 n excise in 2015 n now i want to continue civils preparation.i will try my best for it..if in case i don't get civils is it better in excise? r again i have to try for iti n den civils preparation? whether for betterment in ssc r to aim high for civils?
