Cashless India   Few years back, cashless economy was unimaginable. But with the advancement of technology and invent of digital/online medium of transactions, today economy with less cash doesn’t seem a distant dream. Sweden, one of the top 5 countries which has gone cashless claims to have transacted 98% through digital medium and only 2% in cash in year 2016. However, given the size of population and economy of India, it cannot be compared to Sweden. That said, it is not impossible as we have witnessed during the time of Demonetization. Cashless economy is the future as it boasts a helluva of benefits. From incentivising the digital transactions to creating awareness, govt. in recent years has taken a no. of steps to make our economy digital. Vittiya Saksharta Abhiyan launched in Dec, 2016 is one such programme to create awareness and to encourage people to adapt to a digital economy. Schemes like Lucky Grahak Yojana for consumers and Digi Dhan Vyapar Yojana for merchants are aimed at incentivising the digital payments. BHIM (Bharat Interface for Money) app launched by Prime Minister on 30 Dec, 2016 is an e-wallet and will make online transactions easier. Cashless society offers the government and public many advantages. Digital economy will make transactions transparent and thus will prevent tax evasions. It would help government in proper monitoring of online transactions. It provides a convenient mode of payment and lessen dependency on banks for cash. Cashless will also help in bringing down the crime rates as many anti-social and illegal activities breeds on Cash.  Though cash less economy seems possible although not immediately, there are some serious road blocks which can hinder smooth transition of Indian cash based economy to digital economy. Concerns like online fraud, cyber security are not unknown. On the other hand, effective implementation of various government schemes to move towards digital economy is dependent largely on the fact that all are tech savvy and everyone has access to smart phones, which is core to the cashless economy. Besides, issues like low literacy rate, lack of banking infrastructure, lack of redressal mechanism in case of online fraud are other bottlenecks that has to be overcomed.   But with proper redressal mechanism in place and support from government, Indian economy can be converted to cashless economy.

Essay on women empowerment:

"You can tell the condition of a nation by looking at the status of its women"

                 -Jawaharlal Nehru.

Gender equality is one of the important qualifications for a nation to be called as developed nation. India, one of the biggest contender for the seat of developed nation should make sure that it is unbiased in giving Opportunities to women and men.

Women have been kept at a higher position even in vedic periods of indian history. Even they are worshipped as godesses. Participation of women in independence movement was vital, from Lakshmi bhai to Annie besant. Women play an integral role in Indian culture and tradition.

Women empowerment is giving freedom for women to act on her own ideas, giving equal opportunities in society and allowing her to frame her own rules for herselves.

In recent decades, Indian soceity has changed its view on role of its women. Women are now well educated, they are employed at par with their counterpart. Recent schemes such as "Beti Bachao Beti Padhao" for increasing CSR ratio by government has rised the status of women in india.

Still India needs to go a miles ahead for empowering women. Still 33% reservation for women is under consideration. Apart from few persons like Arundhati Bhattacharya, women entrepreneurs are very less comparing to developed nations. Sexual violence and female infanticide are still prevalant across subcontinent nation.

Every small step is to make a better future. Indians are slowly migrating towards accepting women leaders across any field and this social transformation will surely create a better environment for women to show her potential.
