Guys I need suggestions... My tier 1score is 121 (16 2nd shift) In tier 2, English - 123 Aptitude 165 really depressed by English performance..... Please suggest how to improve English till next

lets suppose vacancies are half(around 2000 in UR only) in cgl 15 as compared to cgl 14...what will be cutoff.....mine prediction is 435 around...whats your prediction

I met someone last Saturday (ibps exam), a guy who was passed out in 2010 from an engg college in my town and got a pvt job in a very famous company. He left his job after a certain time just to prepare for govt(SSC) and he was above 27 who had no job. I didn't ask him about whether he was married or not, I could not. He said that he improved his marks every year, but cut off went higher too! He had a paramount CC's admit card too(~he said~).

when will ssc upload its official answer key... i think they usually upload it within a week or so after the exam , but this time 2 weeks have past .. one more thing when the result can be expected to be declared by ssc for this year cgl

PANIC striken CGL 15 Aspirants
(caution: this is going to be a long post)

Current number of vacancies are BOUND to be revised(increased). First of all CSS is yet to report its vacancies, might be the same with some other departments as well.

Now coming to certain points through which you can increase the vacancies and your job chances:

1. Waiting list:
There are so many candidates who attempted CGL-13, 14 and 15. Because of the insecurity of cancellation, delay in joining etc, they appeared in all the exams till their job joining. Now, most of CGL-13 batch have joined. And those who were unable to get their desired post have got it from CGL-14 (whose joining they are awaiting).

We personally know some friends who have appeared in CGL-15 Pre and Mains and now have joined their respective jobs from CGL13. They are no more interested in CGL-15 despite attempting it. They don't want this job but there is no way that they can report or withdraw their candidacy now. So, they are going to waste a seat in CGL15.

In such a case, SSC is anyways going to decide cutoff only on the basis of vacancies (may be deciding cutoff to include 1.5 times the vacancies) but they are not wise enough to know that many aspirants qualifying CGL-15 final merit won't come for document verification and subsequent joining.

We need to make SSC aware of this scenario and if required force them to work(they won't do it voluntarily) through DoPT and PMO. SSC can make a waiting list which will fill the seats not filled in the first round.

Govt spends a lot of money on recruitment and we aspirants also spend a lot of money and time in this. And even after all efforts, if the vacancies are going to be left unfilled, then it is against the welfare of the Nation. If so many other exams can have waiting list, even SSC can work on it. And, now with reduced load of no interviews, they can easily work on waiting list.

2. State preference (very important!):
Many working Govt Officers have appeared in CGL-15 for the want of better/home state. A friend of mine is now ITI Mumbai through CGL13 but he only wants ITI/Excise Delhi post, else he won't join any other job through CGL-15.

Sadly, he has no option to mention his state preference, he will continue in CGL-15 process till the end. And if he is allocated ITI Rajasthan or Banglore, he won't join and a seat will go waste. There are hundreds of such people and I wont blame them. But SSC is not giving any state preference, they don't have any choice other than wasting a seat.

If SSC starts asking for the state preference option (as it used to till 2013), a lot of jobs can be given to the right and deserving people instead of being wasted.

You can even send petitions to individual departments to request them to write officially to SSC to include state preference at their end. Working here inside one such department, I can tell you the departments will be very happy if SSC includes state preference and provide immediate filling of vacancies.

3. Inclusion of Vacant Seats from CGL-13 and 14:
It is not a new thing that there is 70% overlap in selected aspirants in CGL-13 and 14.But, no person can do 2 govt jobs simultaneously.

Only if SSC is made to do some analytics and homework, it can identify all such candidates (name, father name and DOB to be same for any common candidate in CGL-13,14). These candidates can be asked for their preferred job and the other unwanted job be passed on to be filled through CGL-15.

Departments are really overloaded because of lack of manpower and work-load. And they will be more than happy to get the vacancies filled at the earliest.

4. Asking Willingness certificate from Candidates:
SSC can shortlist people and then ask for their willingness certificate from them. Almost 25-30% CGL-15 candidates won't be joining through CGL-15 because now they have already joined through CGL-13/14(this was not the case at time of CGL-15 applications when these candidates were jobless despite being selected).

If done correctly, all of these steps are going to take some time to make SSC get a solution. But this will only happen if you represent correctly in high numbers at the right place.
This is definitely going to reduce the cutoff and drastically increase the chances of most jobs getting filled by the right candidates.

Vacancies are going to increase anyways. IP vacancies are almost same in CGL13 and CGL15. Even CGL14 had same number of vacancies if you minus the exceptional recruitment by Excise in 2014.

For those of you, asking for cut-offs. The cutoff as of now is entirely in your hands, just send reasonable representations through the right channels. Do it for your own sake and not for anyone else's. We, as your seniors can guide you but you have to be your own leader.

Nothing is lost yet and you can give yourself all the good reasons to Celebrate a Good New Year post this worrying Diwali.
