The main crux of the matter is that everyone is out here for themselves. Majority of students demanding re-exam only see this as an opportunity since their exam didn't go well, irrespective of what the genuine candidates will have to go through even after doing everything they could to secure a job. And another majority of students are okay with cheaters getting selected if it means they will get a post too, and hence are against re-exam. On one hand the thought of cheaters getting these hard earned jobs solely on their ability to fill the pockets of this corrupt system appalls me. But on the other hand the fact that the efforts of the genuine candidates will get nullified is also completely unjustified. I myself didn't do so well in mains and stand a bleak chance of getting through. But i can't bring myself to be on either of these sides, still rolling in the undecided territory. If only there was a way to weed out the miscreants without disrupting the fair part of the system. Sadly there isn't.
