now that tube has come down to political sloganeering for LS 2019,I reiterate my stand.it seems ssc is not bothered to meet them at all.Last day also I had told this same thing,ie,the demands are absolutely justified,but not the manner in which they are raising it.I am not strong in legal technicalities,but one thing that i was thinking of,a case could have been filed in the Supreme Court with sify being dragged in as one of the parties,along with ssc ofcourse.And the issue of repititive technical glitches with this particular vendor,vis-a-vis flawless implementation of exams by ION digital,TCS, could have been shown to Supreme Court . that was the only way through which we could hope for some justice to prevail,otherwise,in itself no org accepts demands so readily,just by seeing some protests outside its HQ gate.the upsc csat issue was accepted in a short span of time,because the protesters there had linked it to hindi sentiments ,and that was a potent poll ploy.otherwise,even that could not have been solved with just a few protesters coming before DOPT hq. And on a different point,at this moment,ssc is actually one of the most transparent orgs,if we consider the whole spectrum of central and state exam conduction bodies,and PSUs. it surely has some glitches,which it will sort out in future,but largely it is conducting exams properly.just look at equivalent exam taking bodies in many of the state govts.they are full of corruption,bribery at every level,and then there is the interview filter. Strangely no one thanks Modi anymore for removing this interview process. recall the pre 2014 era,whatever the score had been in govt exams,final position was not sure because of arbitrary interview marks. in contrast,ssc is still largely clean.2-3% vacancies in ssc will always be filled through backdoor,however hard Khurana ,raju or tube may try.that is the tragedy of our nehruvian ecosystem,it will take time to sort out.even then,in case of ssc,whatever corruption and mismanagement are happening,will reduce down ,if just the vendor Sify is changed.
