B. Neither of the two friends(1)/has got their money back(2)/ from the company(3)/ ne(pg no 182 q61 paramount vol1, here the ans given is (2))
Now, the explanation given for B is that after 'neither of' usage the subj(N/P) has to be plural (and so it is here) but the verb should be singular and hence it should be 'his' instead of 'their'. It seems logical and i have searched the same on Google also. But then why is it not so in kiran book and it is not about one question but many are given with the same logic.
Is there any other rule that am missing on? PUYS, please help....
