This is how these government departments make sure that vacancies are wasted every year, i got joining date way back in October(CGL 17 - TA joining in mumbai) but i replied to the email in October itself that i will not be joining the department but today i received a letter telling me that the department is still awaiting my confirmation on the appointment letter and there are around 165 candidates in the list who have not joined but the department instead of adding these vacancies to future exam are still waiting for us. This is the data for Mumbai office only, just imagine how inefficient and careless the system is.
