"faceless" tag => "Ease of doing business" ranking improves => more n bigger foreign investments... this's the only reason for such reforms :
..."faceless" suna n suddenly ppl are going nuts.. such reforms have happened before n will continue to happen.. bt the machinary behind is the same old one.. ntg really changes.. ppl seem to forget that these reforms are brought about by the GrpA themselves and not some minister.. u must have heard how the IAS community fights tooth n nail to keep its power/privileges intact.. the decision makers will never bring any reforms that would infact really bring about any change n impact their revenue source adversely.. it's being done just to improve its image.. with manufacturing, import/export having a very good prospect in the future in india, CBDT/CBIC is and will become a more powerful dept..
-- for a real info ask some1 unbiased in the dept who has worked for atleast 3-4 yrs.. he/she wouldn't trade this dept for nything.. !
