CGL 2019 being slightly easier than CGL 2018 resulted in inflated normalised marks, some candidates were confused due to this. With the current mapping, it should be apple to apple comparison between the 2 CGLs.

Attached is the cumulative distribution of UR Ranks after Tier 2 (in CGL 2018) of candidates that scored almost the same as you have this year i.e. CGL 2019. This is not a new analysis & was published a while ago on Telegram.
Use :- Shift in Ranks from Tier 1 to Tier 2 for a particular Marks range in Tier 1. Since a large group of candidates (in this case CGL Candidates) behaves more or less the same each year, you can expect a similar behaviour this year.
How to Input:-
Go to the sheet corresponding to your shift. Enter your raw marks in your shift.
This is slightly difficult to comprehend, kindly read the explanation given in the excel sheet itself (Explanation Sheet).
